Greg Abbott has resumed his asshole policy of human trafficking. He, like Ron DeSantis, thinks it’s hilarious to bus and fly refugees to blue states and cities to please their racist MAGAt base. Lately, he’s been shuttling them to Chicago.
But is Greg Abbott aware that sending women to places where they have a right to make decisions over their own bodies? In Texas, they made it illegal to leave the state to seek an abortion, but what if the governor sends someone out of the state who then receives an abortion?
Greg Abbott is not trying to help these refugees by sending them to places better than Texas, because he doesn’t know blue places are better than the red parts of Texas. Houston, Dallas, and Austin seem pretty cool. Abbott is using asylum seekers to score brownie points with racist troglodytes. MAGAts think this is hilarious.
What I will find hilarious is when Greg Abbott and Ron DeSantis are brought up on criminal charges for human trafficking. I’m going to laugh my liberal ass off when that happens.

I cannot believe as an American in a Democratic country you can be banned from leaving the state you live in. This is not freedom that is a dictatorship. If the states were separate countries with their own passports I could still not understand such a thing unless it is due to a pandemic or a communist and a dictator run state.

Austin, or as many call it, Madison South, IS pretty cool. As is Houston. Dallas/Fort Worth – not so much. San Antonio has (or had) a progressive mayor and decent congressional representation. El Paso was (by Texas standard) a fairly liberal city when last I visited. Otherwise, TX is a wasteland of political backwardness and racism. College Station used to require ROTC participation of all (male) students. I interviewed for a job there and feel fortunate I didn’t receive an offer.
