Crooks Don’t Quit

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has been under indictment since 2015 on state security fraud charges. Several of his own staffers have accused him of taking bribes and abusing his office. With bipartisan support, the Texas House of Representatives impeached him last May on allegations of giving preferential treatment to a political donor who bribed him, misapplying public resources, making false statements against whistleblowers, obstructing justice in the securities fraud trial against him, and making false statements regarding his financial interests. The state Senate acquitted him. He’s currently under investigation by the federal government. Has the National Republican Party called for him to resign? No. People like Donald Trump and Ted Cruz have defended him.

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has taken millions of dollars worth of free trips from a conservative sugar daddy who also paid for his nephew’s education and bought his mama’s house while also allowing her to continue living in it (probably rent-free). A different sugar daddy made a personal loan to Clarence so he could buy an RV. Clarence failed to report most if not all of this. Are Republicans calling for his resignation or at least demanding that he stop taking bribes? No. Republicans on a Senate committee are blocking changes to the rules so SCOTUS justices would be held accountable for “donations.” In fact, most of the Republicans have the same sugar daddies as Clarence.

Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito has also accepted gifts from sugar daddies without reporting them. Are Republicans asking him to resign? No.

Congressman George Santos is a proven pathological liar and is now under indictment on 13 criminal charges including wire fraud and theft of public funds. He’s also had several judgments against him in the recent past, mostly concerning eviction and personal debt cases. It was revealed that he conned a veteran out of thousands of dollars with a fake pet charity. He’s even been guilty of check fraud in Brazil. Have Republicans called for his resignation? No.

Donald Trump has been indicted in four jurisdictions totaling 91 criminal charges over trying to steal the 2020 election, using fake electors, ordering white nationalist terrorists to attack Congress, stealing classified documents, obstructing justice, and lying on financial forms about hush money to a porn star he raw dogged in a Las Vegas hotel room after being spanked with a magazine featuring one of his daughters on the cover. Have Republicans called for him to end his presidential campaign or at least to stop shagging porn stars after being spanked with magazines featuring his daughter? No, and he’s currently the front-runner.

New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez has been indicted on allegations he accepted bribes in the form of cash, gold bars, and a Merdedez Benz given to his wife. Have Democrats called for his resignation? Yes, many have, and hopefully, more to come. And if he had been spanked with a magazine featuring Ivanka Trump, I’m pretty certain that Democrats would at least say, “That’s weird.”

There has always been corruption in politics but look at how each party treats it when the accused, or guilty person, is one of their own. There has always been hanky-panky too but Trump took it to a new level. We often don’t care about corruption, or spanking, unless it’s from the other side. Look at how Republicans are howling about President Joe Biden being corrupt, without any proof, but endorse Donald Trump who doesn’t even try to hide his corruption, unless there’s a bunch of stuff he is hiding that’s even worse than the stuff we do know about.

If Hunter Biden, who has never held an official role in a presidential administration, needs to be investigated for taking money from foreign businesses, then so does Jared Kushner for taking $2 billion from the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, who he was directly involved with while having an official role in Donald Trump’s presidential administration (sic).

Politicians, especially Republicans, need to stop chasing supposed corruption from the other party while ignoring it on their side.

Lock them all up. I think they allow spanking in prison.

Music note: I listened to The Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Tom Petty.

  1. Didn’t you know, Clay? All Republicans AND REPUBLICAN SUPPORTERS are allowed to break the law because they don’t recognize themselves as patriotic Americans. They are in a special class that no one else is allowed in! They are born with pardons in their mouths, while no one else is! (You didn’t mention Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh who is guilty of rape!)
All these people are SPECIAL, Clay. And they should be treated like they are SPECIAL!
(For any MAGAts, reading this, this comment is full os sarcasm. The only thing special about most Republicsns is that they are fucking idiots!)
