I had a different editor this week at CNN and I pitched one idea on Thursday night and a lot more on the train to Washington, DC the next morning. It was while I was waiting at the Fredericksburg station that the subject of Nikki Haley endorsing Trump was suggested to me. This was picked while I was on the train (I think) and I knocked it out at my favorite coffee shop in the city before heading to the convention.

I had originally had this as “Former Never-Trumper Club,” but one of the editors said maybe change it to “Anti-Trumper” since Nikki was never a Never-Trumper. Though, I think she was in 2016, but this wasn’t a hill to die on for me.
