I don’t like to equate both sides as though they’re equally bad, because they’re not.
Democrats are good at raising money but they’re not the best at messaging. They’re on the right side of the issues. They’re on the right side of history. On the other hand, Republicans are just vile and evil. They’re liars. Their policies don’t work and the majority of the nation is trying to leave them behind. Republicans are regressive and want to take the nation back. Not all Republicans are racist but ALL racists are Republican. Also, the Republicans Party has become a cult. Unfortunately, Republicans are better at messaging.
So I didn’t want to do a both-sides cartoon even though editors LOOOOOOOOOOOVE them. So, I had the Donkey make the promise and the elephant break it. See how I snuck that in?
