If Nikki Haley didn’t already know it, she found out during her presidential campaign. The Republican Party is a cult.
The Republican Party overwhelmingly supported Trump throughout the primaries (that technically, are not over). The GOP didn’t just oppose Nikki, they excoriated her. They didn’t oppose her policies. They didn’t disagree with her on the issues. What they attacked her over was her continued campaign against Trump. How dare she.
Haley, who was Donald Trump’s ambassador to the United Nations, became another Trump enemy, like Mitt Romney and Liz Cheney. But what they need to remember is that Haley doesn’t have the spine, pride, or independence of a Romney or Cheney. Soon, Haley will buckle, endorse Trump, and hope for a place in his administration.
But Haley hasn’t endorsed Trump yet. She’s holding her cards close to her chest and for that, she’s still a traitor to the cult and Dear Leader. Arizona Senate candidate, failed gubernatorial candidate, and huge lying cultist Kari Lake, who lied about voter fraud in her own losing campaign.
The morning after Super Tuesday, Lake posted to X/Twitter, “Nimrata Haley will suspend her campaign today after more humiliating, landslide loses on Super Tuesday.” Lake was still spooning for support from racists by reminding them that Haley is Indian-American. She later bashed Haley for continuing her campaign for as long as she did and for not endorsing Trump.
The biggest gripe Republicans have over Haley for continuing her campaign for as long as she did is that it forced Trump to keep campaigning which meant he had to spend money to fight Haley… money he’d rather be using on his legal battles.
Trump posted on Shit Social, “Nikki Haley got TROUNCED last night, in record setting fashion. Much of her money came from Radical Left Democrats, as did many of her voters, almost 50%, according to the polls.”
And after insulting her voters, Trump invited them to join his campaign which he called “the greatest movement in the history of our Nation.”
Haley said, “It is now up to Donald Trump to earn the votes of those in our party and beyond it who did not support him. And I hope he does that. This is now his time for choosing.” What that means is, he must give Haley something. This is the same woman who said this has never been a racist country and later called out Trump for racist comments.
Exit polls show that many Haley supporters refuse to support Trump, but take that with a grain of salt. Why? Because they’re Republicans. How many Republicans swore they’d never support Trump then flipped to support him? I can think of a few, Mitch McConnell, Kevin McCarthy, Ted Cruz, Paul Ryan, Jason Chaffetz, Marco Rubio, Lindsey Graham…and in 2016, Nikki Haley.
In 2016, Haley said, “During anxious times, it can be tempting to follow the siren call of the angriest voices. We must resist that temptation.” When it came to resisting that temptation she was talking about, Nikki failed.
Music note: I listened to Filter.
Creative note: I think this is my first cliff cartoon in about three years. I’m not a big fan of them and I believe they’re the most used trope in political cartooning. Despite that, I couldn’t resist the temptation to draw this after I roughed it out. Maybe it’s the Eagles.

Thank you Clay for cartooning and using vocabulary that has atrophied in my brain. I had to look excoriated!
