My Insurrection Baby

The 14th Amendment clearly says that a person who committed insurrection after taking an oath to protect the Constitution can’t serve in any government office. Donald Trump engaged in an insurrection against this country and against the Constitution. He had help.

One of those people who helped Trump try to steal the election was Ginni Thomas, wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. This is where it gets stinky. Did I say “stinky?” I was thinking of Trump. I meant sticky.

The Colorado Supreme Court ruled that Donald Trump is disqualified from serving as president because he’s a stinky traitor. This case will end up before the Supreme Court where one of the justices who will rule on the matter is married to a goon who helped Trump try to stay in power despite losing the election. I will bet you 20 stinky dollars that Clarence will not recuse himself from this case.

Donald Trump is the first president (sic) who refused to leave office peacefully and Ginni helped him.

Trump argues that it was the president’s (sic) job to claim the 2020 election was rigged except it wasn’t rigged. Trump lost. And it’s not the president’s job to steal an election. That’s a tyrant’s job.

Some argue Trump didn’t engage in an insurrection, but we all saw it on TV.

I’ve seen Trump sycophants argue that since this clause, Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, was written to keep Confederates from serving in U.S. government office, then it only applies to that era. They state it only applies to Confederates. The problem with this argument is that it’s wrong, the section is still in the Constitution, and if this clause only applies to the Civil War era, then the Second Amendment should only apply to the musket era.

These same goons argue that the clause doesn’t include the word “president.” It also doesn’t include the word “Confederate.”

There’s also the argument that the president is not an officer of the United States. This is an extremely stupid argument. Why would the writers of this clause want to exempt the president from serving in office again after engaging in an insurrection? Why would they want that traitor to be exempt?

Donald Trump was an officer of the United States. Clarence Thomas still is. Clarence is married to an insurrectionist. It’s too bad the Constitution doesn’t have a clause that Supreme Court justices married to traitors can’t rule on cases involving other traitors, especially orange-stinky ones.

Merry Christmas, my dear readers. It’s time for this agnostic to order Chinese food.

Music note: I listened to the Clash and Kool and the Gang. I hate Christmas music. Several people sent me links to YouTube videos of Christmas songs after they read I hate those songs. It’s as if I just haven’t heard that one Christmas song in my 57 years that will change my mind to start liking Christmas music. I don’t understand why it’s important for someone that I like Christmas music. Get over it. It’s not like I care if you don’t like Pearl Jam.

  1. Problem being, Clay, even if Thomas did recuse himself , it still 5 Republicans vs 3 Democrats serving on a body that should know no politics.
Trump weaponized the Supreme Court just for instances like this. Anybody says there is not a genius somewhere benind the scenes is not looking deep enough. And if that genius is the “idiot-savant” Trump, the world is in danger!
