Supreme Obstruction

This will be a short blog because this cartoon took six hours to draw and it’s a Sunday. I’d like to do something else today.

While we were all focused on the aftermath of Thursday night’s debate, SCOTUS snuck in a ruling that the two corrupt insurrectionist justices, Clarence and Sammy, should have recused themselves from.

“Obstruction of an official proceeding” had been used in hundreds of cases against Donald Trump’s white nationalist terrorists who attacked the Capitol on January 6, 2021, and on Friday, SCOTUS said the charge can’t be applied.

This means there will be resentencing for many of Donald Trump’s white nationalist terrorists and dropped charges for those who haven’t been prosecuted yet, like Donald Trump, who did face four charges of obstruction.

The court believes obstruction is more about destroying documents and hiding evidence than obstructing an official proceeding. This is another gift for Donald Trump. Tomorrow, SCOTUS will rule on immunity for Donald Trump.

What kind of gift are they going to give him tomorrow?
