China Trump

This cartoon is using some creative license, which I’m discovering has to be explained more often, and that is…Trump sold his D.C. hotel.

When James Comer, the House Republican currently leading the investigation into President Biden and not finding any corruption, heard that foreign governments spent over $7 million at Trump properties, his response was that Trump’s businesses are “legitimate” and those of the Biden family are not.

I expected Comer to have a stupid excuse for continuing his snipe hunt into President Biden while ignoring clear and obvious corruption with Donald Trump and his family, and Comer didn’t disappoint.

It doesn’t matter if Trump’s businesses are legitimate are not, federal law states that a president must divest of his businesses before taking office. It’s called the Emoluments Clause. Trump’s hotels and shitty golf resorts rife with bedbugs are not any more legitimate than Jimmy Carter’s peanut farm, which he divested before taking office, and from I understand, the peanut farms had fewer bugs than Trump Doral.

While in office (sic), Trump publicly came out against the FBI moving from downtown Washington because the space could have been taken by another hotel to compete against his grifter hotel.

But Comer’s reasoning, other than being stupid and partisan, is wrong. Who is he to determine which businesses are legit and which aren’t? He’s also wrong because President Biden has never had business with China or any other foreign governments. All those Republican talking points claiming he does are based on utter and complete bullshit. But even if a business is legit, that doesn’t mean it can’t be used to bribe its owner. It’s why we have the Emoluments Clause.

Just saying something doesn’t make it true, like Trump won, Trump is exonerated from colluding with Russia, or Trump’s name isn’t included in the Epstein documents (I saw that one a LOT yesterday).

Republicans are now going to ignore that Trump took in at least $7.8 million from foreign entities WHILE he was president (sic) like they’re ignoring that Jared Kushner took $2 billion (with a “B”) from Saudi Arabia after he worked in the White House (sic).

Jared Kushner worked in the White House (sic). He worked in a presidential administration (sic). He worked directly with the Crown Prince Butcher of Saudi Arabia. He worked on arms deals and treaties with the Crown Prince/Butcher. Shortly after he left the White House, the Butcher gave Jared $2 billion with a big ass “B.”

Hunter Biden never worked in the White House or in any way shape or form with a presidential administration. So far, nothing has turned up that shows Hunter committed any crimes by doing business with foreign companies. Republicans’ investigations into Hunter are purely based on speculation, but it’s not speculation that Jared got paid by the Saudi Butcher. It’s fact.

So why is it illegal or at least very suspicous for Hunter to do business with Ukraine or China but it’s not illegal for Jared to rake in $2 billion from a foreign source after working with that foreign source in the White House? This shows that Republicans don’t actually care about corruption but only who they can pin it on. Republicans can’t be taken seriously.

And if it was true that President Biden had foreign business dealings between his vice-presidency and presidency (it’s not), then why is it wrong for him but not wrong for Trump to take foreign money WHILE he was president (sic)?

Democrats on the House Oversight Committee (who are so much better at this than Republicans) have produced concrete evidence, through a court fight, that shows Trump received at least $7.8 million from 20 foreign entities WHILE he was in the White House, and most of it is from China.

These 20 foreign governments and their controlled entities paid millions to the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C.,Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue in New York, and Trump World Tower at 845 United Nations Plaza in New York. The Trumps claim they donated all profits from foreign governments to the U.S. treasury, but without providing evidence. So obviously, since they are Trumps, it’s a lie.

The same goons howling about President Biden’s vacations ignore that Trump spent a huge percentage of his time on Trump golf courses, and that taxpayers had to pay for those vacations and golf outings. Trump even raised the rates for government employees thus grifting taxpayers even more. But why should we expect Republicans to take Trump’s grifting seriously when they contributed to it?

As I posted in the first paragraph, Trump sold his hotel in Washington (technically, the lease to the property). But in the first six months of the Trump Hotel opening, Republicans spent at least $266 thousand at the Trump Hotel. During five months of the 2018 midterms, they spent $867 thousand. During the first six months of the hotel being in the hands of the Waldorf-Astoria, Republicans spent $2,000 at the hotel.

It wasn’t just Republicans but anyone who wanted to influence Trump. Trump’s Attorney General, William Barr, spent $30,000 on a party at the Trump Hotel. Rudy Giluinia and his hired goons, Lev and Igor, would plot their Ukraine schemes in the bar at the Trump Hotel (which I’m hoping has been defumed since the Waldorf took it over). When Trump’s EPA chief was looking to buy a new mattress, he sought to purchase one from the Trump Hotel. Today, Republicans hold events at other Trump properties. Even the Trump Campaign holds most of its fundraising events at Trump properties.

Here’s the grift: Trump will hold a fundraiser at his property. You show up and give him some money for his campaign. That money goes into his campaign, but wait. The campaign has to pay for the space they rented which just so happens to be…wait for it…a Trump property. This goes into Trump’s pocket. Donald Trump announced both of his presidential runs at Trump properties. Trumpers know that it pleases Trump greatly and gets into his good will by spending money at his properties.

Kevin McCarthy’s committees spent over a quarter million dollars at Trump Properties and shortly after that, he won Trump’s endorsement to become Speaker of the House. When T-Mobile was looking for Trump’s approval (while he was in the White House) for its merger with Sprint, lobbyists for the company stayed (where?) at Trump’s Washington hotel. Guess what Trump did. He approved the merger.

Republicans argue that Trump’s hotel was just like any other Washington hotel and it was “convenient,” but they haven’t found that same convenience since Trump sold the hotel.

Within a month of Trump “winning” the 2016 presidential election, Saudi Arabia switched from renting rooms in Northern Virginia for its lobbyists to renting them at Trump’s Washington hotel. They booked over 500 nights and paid $270,00. They were not the only government to do this.

And since Trump left the White House after losing to Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election, Trump has made property deals with Oman and golf deals with Saudi Arabia. Remember, Trump isn’t just a former president (sic), but also the front runner for the Republican nomination for the presidency. Republican pie holes are closed about Trump’s foreign business dealings while going crazy over mere rumors, speculation, and lies about President Biden having foreign business dealings.

The oddest thing with this is that Republicans are ignoring Trump’s grifts while obviously knowing he’s corrupt because they knew that if they wanted his favor, they had to spend money on him.

You don’t bribe someone without knowing they take bribes.

  1. I cannot believe MAGAts want a fool like Trump in charge of their lives. Once his friends become useless to him he screws them over. MAGAts are not Trump’s friends, they are tools to be used and thrown away. The only person Trump truly cares about is Donald J. Trump! Everyone else WILL GET SCREWED!

    1. From what I understand, many are not that stupid. They just care more about their money than about anything else, and the Trump party has become very helpful to them in amassing and keeping their stocks and wealth. “If men will not be governed by God, then they will be ruled by tyrants.”

  2. Amen, rawgod you have put exactly how he is, and is as worthless as a tit on a boar hog. Now if only all these stupid people would understand what Trump and the GOP plan to do to this country if they take back the WH they would not vote for him. But they don’t want to hear it of when they suddenly find themselves living in a fascist environment they won’t know what happened.
