Cannon the Trump Trial

Here’s your cartoon for this week’s CNN Opinion Newsletter. Please sign up to get these in your inbox every Sunday

The Justice Department wanted a trial over Trump stealing classified documents to start in December. The goons lawyering for Trump wanted the trial to start after the election…or never. Judge Aileen Cannon, a Trump appointee who’s shown favoritism toward Trump in the past, split the difference and scheduled the trial for May 2024. The thing is, Trump may have the Republican nomination in the bag by that time.

When the convention comes around next summer, the nominee may be a convicted felon.

Music note: I listened to Olivia Newton-John.

    1. For a good long time, Waldo, and more recently Pizza Rat (hooray for persistent nagging!!!😉), have been permanent fixtures in Clay’s crowd scenes. 😉

(Ya know, practically all of the Greatest Graphic Editorialists have Mascots that appear in pretty much all of their work… their Mascots are as important as their Signatures 😉)
