  1. Lardollini blizzard merrily moves along. I doubt Adums could win re-election. I would bet his supporters are felling quite let down. I am hoping but I have been her before that this will be the case that ends the political life of mr. manteca de cerdo.

  2. Not even Jimmy Walker, who fled NY when he found he was under federal investigation was as miserable a human being as the immensely corrupt (and indicted) Adams. The first mayor I remember was Robert Wagner. Then John Lindsay (R), Abe Beame, Koch, Dinkins… others. It’s not a forgiving job. As soon as the cheering stops, mayors are typically reviled. But this guy? The worst! I’m not old enough to remember LaGuardia or Teddy Roosevelt (obviously), but their administrations followed similar patterns, but they governed (or mayored) applying ethical judgements. Quid pro quo… despicable. Cooperation with ICE? I read a letter to the Times this morning that reviles all recent immigrants. It was authored by someone who proudly says they have a terminal vowel to their last name. Clearly, this person does not realize that WOP, the pejorative for Italian immigrants (& their descendents) means “without papers.” The author is proud of being descended from people who landed at Ellis Island, but denies the same treatment for immigrants today.

I appreciate the message of today’s cartoon. Adams? Not so much. Trump? Even less. As long as they are permitting ICE access to Rikers Island, I’d suggest they go there themselves.

  3. The original motto of this country was “E Pluribus Unum”.

For those of you whose Latin is rusty, that means “Out of Many, One”.

I do not accept that other motto that was part of McCarthyism.

However, it’s time for a new motto for the United States of America. I suggest “Ubi Est Mea”.

For those of you whose Latin is rusty, that means “Where’s Mine?”

      1. Silly me. Damned godless commies!

Doesn’t the full expression end with “all others pay cash (DOGE coin not accepted as legal tender)?”

  4. The best thing about this the charges were dismissed without prejudice – as I understand it that means he always has to look over his shoulder if he messes up. And why did blond Bondi with a cross not sign the order – why did she make her underling do it?
