  1. Bret Baier was rude and interrupted the Vice President of the United States. In my opinion he was trying to bully a woman. He picked the wrong woman!!! She wasn’t having it and stood her ground. She did it professionally and admirably. Bret Baier was amateurish … no … let me correct that … he is pure amateur. He became impatient and rude and interrupted The Vice-President of the United States. Thank goodness this is not Trump world. Bret would have been taken to a Siberia gulag* mid-interview. Bret, we live in a democracy, in case you forgot, and Kamala Harris represents that DEMOCRACY. In Trump’s authoritarian, fascist mind, Bret, you are “the danger from within” he rants about. In Kamala Harris world you aren’t. You are a journalist enjoying freedom of speech in The United States without repercussion.

    * (The word Gulag is an acronym for the Russian phrase Glavnoe Upravleniye ispravitel’no-trudovykh LAGerei, which translates to “Main Administration of Corrective Labor Camps“. It refers to the Soviet Union’s penal system of labor camps, detention camps, and prisons that housed millions of people from the 1920s to the mid-1950s.).

  2. I liked both the cartoon and blog today, finding the former amusing and to the point; the latter informative. Having read the Gulag Archipelago, the cold Orwellian administrative language has always felt bleak. To see it coming to fruition in the US is really the only surprise – although I’ve been vocal in predicting its arrival for more than 60 years, I never really believed it was the goal of many until recently.
