Worse Than Worms

The Republican Party has a larger problem than brain worms and that is the worm they’ve given too much power to, Marjorie Taylor Greene.

Here’s a hypothetical question that’s much like the man or bear one: If you had to have a worm eating your brain or Marjorie Taylor Greene in your life, which would you choose? I’d take the worm.

MTG is a cyst the Republican Party can’t remove. Ideally, they could lose her like they lost lying wingnut Madison Cawthorn where they primaried and replaced him with another Republican, one more easily managed. This may also be the case soon with Lauren Boebert, who abandoned her district when confronted with a tough challenger and fled to a new one.

MTG is a lunatic and has become poison to the GOP. Just a couple years ago, she was a mild annoyance but then-Speaker Kevin McCarthy gave her prime committee assignments and allowed her to run roughshod over the Capitol. McCarthy is gone and unfortunately, he didn’t take MTG with him.

MTG is a conspiracy theorist, bigot, troglodyte, liar, heckler, and a bit of a stalker. She is one of the most repulsive figures in the nation. Unfortunately, voters in her Yee-haw district love her. Maybe they all have brain worms.

Yesterday, MTG moved forward with her attempt to remove Mike Johnson as Speaker despite knowing it would fail catastrophically. Republicans had lost their patience with these games and so have Democrats, who helped defeat the measure. MTG didn’t care because it’ll probably lead to more fundraising.

In 2022, MTG was in the top ten in fundraising among members of the House despite the fact she’s never sponsored legislation that has become law (she’s only co-sponsored four bills that have). Now some Republicans are saying they won’t even give her the votes to rename a local post office in her district. She’s also missed more votes than the median of current House members. This tells you that Republicans don’t actually care about legislation. She’s also in one of the safest districts which means she doesn’t have to spend much of her campaign war chest on getting reelected. Her voters don’t care that she ranks with Jim Gym Jordan as one of the least effective members of Congress.

The best part of MTG’s failure to oust Johnson is that she got booed by her colleagues. It wasn’t just Democrats who booed MTG, it was mostly from her own party.

MTG is so poisonous to her party, that Fox News has only mentioned her 1,000 times since 2021 while CNN has mentioned her over 5,500 times and MSNBC has said her name over 8,000 times. Republicans don’t want voters nationally to know much about MTG, and most don’t because their “news” sources don’t mention her. If more Americans know about MTG, the greater the odds of Republicans losing the House in November. That’s what needs to be done.

Voters in Greene’s district won’t vote her out even though she’s ineffective as a legislator. But voters nationally can remove her power in Washington by giving Democrats the House. Vote blue and get rid of you-know-who.

Marjorie Taylor Greene is poison to this nation and even people with worms eating their brains know that’s true.

  1. As is the case with bobert, mtg needs to serve only one more term to qualify for and receive the lifetime benefits awarded to actually EFFECTIVE and deserving members of Congress. Our tax dollars will go toward her pension, health care and I suppose her farrier bills for getting periodically reshod. It should instead come solely out of the pockets of the arsewipes in Georgia who think she’s such a peach.

    1. You are correct on all accounts. The fact that the people who voted for her in that district are as ignorant as she tells you a lot.
