Since this cartoon was chosen kinda early in the day, at least for CNN, I decided to draw it at my local Starbucks. I was excited that I might finish up early and be able to play live music that night at a local open mic. As I was packing up my tablet into my backpack after the cartoon was finished, a kid, probably a college student, started asking me questions about my drawing on an iPad.

I talked to the kid for a few minutes but didn’t show him the cartoon. After I told him what kind of cartoons I draw, he said, “Wow, you must have a lot of material with Biden.” That right there told me where he stands politically. I also gave him my card, so he might be reading this. Hi, Starbucks Kid.

So I went home and practiced on my guitar for three hours until my fingers were killing me. Then I walked down to the bar with my guitar only to find out the open mic was canceled.

“Every week” my ass.
