The problem isn’t that lying Republican goons are trying to save face. No, the problem is that they’re still moving forward with their bogus impeachment effort of President Biden despite learning that the main “evidence,” that Biden is corrupt and took bribes, is actually Russian disinformation. Their “star” witness has been arrested for lying to the FBI. These are lies he was told by the Russian government. These are lies approved and sanctioned by Vladimir Putin. This is another incident of Republicans enacting the Russian agenda to interfere in our elections. Shame on Republicans.

Last June, GOP Rep. Anna Paulina Luna posted on social media that the FBI “is afraid their informant will be killed if unmasked, based on the info he has brought forward about the Biden family.” That was a lie along with the claim Luna was pushing, that Joe and Hunter Biden were bribed by Ukrainians.

Alexander Smirnov was indicted last week for lying to the FBI about the Bidens receiving bribes. The indictment suggests that Smirnov never had the conversation in which he was told about a bribe because at the time the conversation allegedly occurred, he had never met the person who had made the allegation. The indictment also suggested that Smirnov was motivated by hostility to Biden’s candidacy.

If you want to spread a lie, then who do you tell? You tell Republicans. If Republicans like the lie and it’s what they want to hear, they will not demand corroboration or facts to back it up. It’s like idiots on social media sharing memes without fact-checking them first, no matter how implausible they appear. I say this to liberals too, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Check it out before re-sharing.

The filing states that during the FBI’s last interview with Smirnov earlier this month, that Smirnov suggested investigators check to see if Hunter made telephone calls from the Premier Palace Hotel since those calls would have been recorded by the Russians. Smirnov claimed to have obtained this information a month earlier by calling a high-level official in a foreign country. Smirnov also claimed to have learned this information from four different Russian officials.

This hotel Smirnov is talking about is in Kyiv, Ukraine, a city Hunter Biden has never visited. Other claims by Smirnov are similarly debunked. The informant’s claims were from Russian sources who were once again trying to influence an American presidential election, except this time, instead of using memes to influence goobs and yeehaw fuckers with ridiculous claims like the Pope endorsed Trump, they were using Republicans in Congress.

Republicans like Luna have lied their asses off about this. Donald Trump posted on Truth Social last August, “Look, the guy got bribed!” Rep. Andrew Clyde said the Bidens had been “extorting Burisma to the tune of $10 million.” Rep. Nancy Mace said that President Biden had been “caught on tape getting bribed,” which wasn’t even Smirnov’s allegation. You’d think we’d have seen that tape by now.

By the way, how come we’re not hearing anything about Hunter’s laptop anymore?

Referring to the FBI’s FD-1023 form that documents Smirnov’s claims, CNN’s Manu Raju said to Jim Gym Jordan yesterday, “You said the 1023 is the most corroborating piece of information you have.” Last December, Jordan claimed the 1023 form was the “key” impeachable evidence. Oops.

After finding out all that evidence is not evidence, Jordan said, “It corroborates but it doesn’t change the fundamental facts.” That’s a lie. It doesn’t corroborate anything. Jordan went on to say the “key” facts remain that Hunter had been paid excessively by Burisma and President Biden, during his time as vice president to President Obama, had helped get a Ukrainian prosecutor fired to aid the company. Yes, Hunter was paid by a Ukrainian energy company, but that’s not illegal. Yes, then-Vice President Biden did help get a Ukrainian prosecutor fired, but that prosecutor was NOT investigating or pressuring Burisma. He was corrupt and all of Western Europe was working to have him removed.

And again, why do they keep ignoring the Trumps and Saudi Arabia? Donald Trump is in business today with the Saudi golf venture. Jared took $2 billion from his buddy, the Crown Prince. Where’s the Republican outrage?

Jordan says the indictment of Smirnov “doesn’t change the fundamental facts,” yet those “facts” are not facts. It’s a fundamental fact that Jim Gym Jordan is a lying shitweasel who has yet to pass one single bill despite being a congressman for 16 years.

Rep. Ken Buck is speaking out against his fellow Republicans, Jordan and James Comer. He told CNN’s Kaitlin Collins, “Obviously, this witness—and we were warned at the time that we received the document outlining this witness’s testimony—we were warned that the credibility of this statement was not known.”

Buck said, “And yet people, my colleagues went out and talked to the public about how this was credible and how it was damning and how it proved President Biden’s—at the time Vice President Biden’s—complicity in receiving bribes. It appears to absolutely be false and to really undercut the nature of the charges. We’ve always been looking for a link between what Hunter Biden received in terms of money and Joe Biden’s activities or Joe Biden receiving money. This clearly is not a credible link at this point.”

His allegation is that Jordan and Comer pushed the bribery narrative knowing full well that Smirnov’s claims were not corroborated. It needs to be noted that Buck found his backbone after announcing his retirement.

After Republicans took control of the House in 2023, they censured Rep. Adam Schiff for promoting the idea that Trump’s 2016 campaign was linked to Russia. The motion argued it was a “conspiracy theory … invented, funded, and spread by President Trump’s political rivals.” That’s actually a lie. If the House is going to censure liars, let’s censure that censure and then hit Jim Gym Jordan, James Comer, and every Republican who lied about the bribery. It’s not just fair to do so, it’s important. In fact, Jordan and Comer could face criminal charges. Is it not a crime to use government material to falsely claim someone was bribed?

These goons are still pushing for impeachment when they should be cleaning up after the mess they made. Jim Gym Jordan, James Comer, Donald Trump, and all the other Republican liars owe this nation and the Bidens an apology…not more bullshit.
