I started this cartoon before Republicans ousted Kevin McCarthy, which you’ll see if you watch the video (it’s coming). But I changed it around on Friday morning and sent it to CNN and they picked it. It was drawn at Capital One Cafe in downtown San Francisco. Or I should say, it was drawn at my home in Virginia AND Capital One Cafe in downtown San Francisco.

I’m still in California and leaving today but my flight isn’t until 11:45 p.m. I won’t be home until tomorrow afternoon. I’m going to draw my cartoon back at the cafe after I check out at noon. Afterward, I’m going to check out some more of the city, specifically Fisherman’s Wharf and the Golden Gate Bridge.

A friend has offered for me to tag along on his ride to the airport, but I may go early on BART (I didn’t say “the” BART) so I can get started on Tuesday’s cartoon.
