But His Toilet

“One of the first things we must do is to enforce all classification rules and to enforce all laws relating to the handling of classified information.” Who said that? Donald Trump said that on September 7, 2016.

And, on August 18, 2016, he also said, “In my administration, I’m going to enforce all laws concerning the protection of classified information. No one will be above the law.” If you ever said, “Lock her up,” you need to start saying, “Lock HIM up.”

Both of these quotes are included in the 49-page indictment of Donald Trump. There are 38 charges among the seven indictments, with 37 going to Trump. The 38th belongs to his personal assistant Waltine Nauta.

Republicans howling about this either haven’t read the indictment in full or are saying what Trump did is OK. This case is the United States of America versus Donald Trump. I’m siding with America.

Joe Biden didn’t indict Donald Trump, a grand jury did. The Justice Department has not been weaponized. Read the 49 pages. Anyone who reads those 49 pages and continues to claim the law is being weaponized against Trump to stop him from becoming president again is a liar. Your Kool-Aid is more important to you than the security of the United States of America.

The indictment is very detailed. Donald Trump broke the law and threatened our national security. As he said, “No one is above the law.” In his own words, he should be prosecuted. In his own words, he said we need “to enforce all classification rules and to enforce all laws relating to the handling of classified information.” Lock him up.

The report shows photos of boxes of classified information in his ballroom, bathroom, shower, bedroom, and storage rooms, and even spilled onto a floor. If you were one of the goons screaming about President Biden having a few documents in his garage with his Corvette, you need to shut up now.

The report shows he did not keep the classified documents in a secure facility, like a SCIF, a sensitive compartmented information facility.

The report shows that the documents were kept at TWO of his golf resorts and that tens of thousands of people had passed through them during the time the documents were in the resorts. Getting into Mar-a-Lago during this time would be the wet dream of a spy from a hostile nation. All it would take to get in is money.

The report shows he kept classified documents on our nuclear capabilities, classified maps, retaliation strategy in the event of an attack, the names of human sources (spies), and the outlines of potential attacks on other nations.

The report shows he kept classified documents that were given to our nation by our allies.

The report shows that Donald Trump shared classified information with people who did not have security clearances to view the information.

The report shows that Donald Trump knew the information was classified, NOT “declassified,” as he’s falsely claimed on multiple occasions, and that he knew it wasn’t declassified.

The report shows that Donald Trump knew he no longer had the ability to declassify.

The report shows he tried to hide the documents, ordered them moved around, and even suggested having some destroyed.

Republican goons like Kevin McCarthy, Lauren Boebert, and Donald Trump Jr continue to scream about this. They’re wrong but some of them probably have difficulty with reading comprehension. Every Republican candidate for president claiming this is weaponizing the Justice Department is admitting that they if they’re elected, will politicize the Justice Department and stick their nose into investigations, just as Trump did when he was president (sic). To their credit, only Christ Christie and Asa Hutchinson have taken a wait-and-see approach. Hutchinson has actually called for Donald Trump to withdraw from the race which is what every Republican in the nation should be calling for. One of them, even before the indictment was unsealed, has promised he will pardon Trump.

Here is the full document annotated. If you are going to talk about this case, then know what you’re talking about. Read it. Jack Smith has laid it all out. And if you continue to scream about this without reading the document, then you don’t know Jack Shit.

  1. Excellent! Couldn’t be clearer. I’ve also been encouraging people to read the thing; it’s an easy read. There’s also a link for people who like to listen to the indictment via The Bulwark.

  2. I’ve held and worked at the level of TSSA/TK in a SCIF and taken national security very serious, the orange one looked at it as the latest edition of a MAD comic book. 31 counts because the other originating agency would not let Jack use the rest of the 100~ documents because of what they held in them. It’s a delicate balance of lifting the tent and allowing things to be disclosed, as well as Keeping others still secret at the level they were originally classified. Jack did his homework, processed what he could and presented to the Grand Jury, who understood the severity of the CRIME. As this unfolds, someone should count how many witnesses were Democrat, I’m thinking ZERO, but talking to a MAGAt on facts 1 thru 37 is impossible because he said he didn’t do it, I say he did do it. Let the games begin. Cheers

  3. All of this MAGA “whataboutism” regarding Hillary Clinton, Mike Pence and Joe Biden is all B.S. as well.

All of the criminality outlined in the indictment is related to events that occurred AFTER the May 2022 subpoena. It is not about merely having the documents. It’s about hiding them, lying to investigators, obstructing efforts to have them returned, and refusing to return them when ordered to do so by a court of law. Trump was given FAR more opportunities to return the documents than you or I would have been given, but still refused to do so.

  4. If all of Trump’s lawyers resign, will he be eligible for a public defender? (Please let there be a fingerprinting session and a brand-new mug shot session. Please let Trump get the perp walk in handcuffs and the pain and humiliation of arraignment he has worked so hard to get.)
Can he autograph and sell his mug shot in court? Will an orange jump suit clash with his complexion? Will Putin recall and incarcerate Melania?
    So many unanswered questions.

  5. Well compliments for not taking the easy one for a title…I read the PDF last night. The detail that caught my attention was 21 days. I suspect that is a warning to the potential judge. And if Cannon does not immediately follow through, Smith will immediately hold the appellate court to their decision.

  6. I love the fact that the report doesn’t keep referring to him as “Former President Trump” or “Mr. Trump”, but just Trump, in bold font, and said like it was the most vile thing on Earth (which he is).

    1. Robertson makes me sick to my stomach. He and his moron followers are everything that Jesus preached against and I’m not Christian and I know that. They are a big part of what is wrong with organized religion.

  10. Since then, Nikki Haley has also piped up and dared to criticize Trump…although she took the roundabout, cowardly way of also saying that the Dept of Justice was weaponized. How does that even make sense? I guess it does if you’re deathly afraid of offending the Orange Cult…
