I did some research on the “secret” – supposedly it is the “plot” to over turn the election by forcing something called a contingent election – something outlined in the 12th Amendment to the Constitution. However, for this to occur, a number of factors have to occur and – this is a very brief summary – of what I understand these factors are. First of all, they need to block anyone from getting 270 electoral college votes. This is done by either having electoral college voters renege on their votes – so-called faithless voters – or simply make it impossible for certain counties to certify electoral college votes. This then pushes the presidential election to the House. Whichever party has the majority in the House will then be able to vote for the next president and vice-president as each the House delegation gets one vote. (Not each representative). The convicted felon and his MAGAt cultists are assuming a few things here. First – the electoral college voters have to play their part and renege on their votes – so-called faithless voters or that they can stop certification of votes in certain places. Problem with this is the amendment could also be interpreted as having the “majority” of the Electoral College votes – not just the 270 normally interpreted as required. And if the GOP House stall certification past the December 25 deadline, the “whole number Electors appointed” could be diminished, lowering the number of electors as normally interpreted and therefore “permit” the convicted felon to have a “majority”. Despite the Electoral Count Reform Act of 2022 supposedly “fixing” the issue of disputed certification, it places the disputes in front of federal judges and ultimately the Supreme Court – and we know how the court would decide. Going back to the deadlines – the devil-incarnate Johnson would be in control of the electoral vote process up to the December 25 deadline and if anything impedes the electoral votes certification he could declare the process “over” by the December 11 deadline. So when the new House takes over on January 6 to certify the election, it will have to accept the “results” as determined by the House up to and including the December 25 deadline. Please correct me here….
