I read your blog post in Substack about this cartoon and I have to respectfully disagree with you, Clay. Josh Shapiro could have brought more enthusiasm but as you said, he would have brought more baggage with his pro-Israel/pro-IDF viewpoints that could hurt the Dems among Gen Z voters nationwide.
I live in Pennsylvania and I voted for Shapiro because he has far more agreeable policies and also because Mastriano was a god-awful candidate.
Keep in mind, though, that high school football is a big f**king deal here in PA behind Penn State and the Steelers. The fact that Walz was a a high school football coach will definitely earn him respect points here. High school football coach is a very well respected position in any given PA town — I know, I have seen the proof many times. I think Walz will do fine here.

I think Walz will have a better chance of winning over independent voters here in PA than the convicted felon or his couch-f**king running mate is what I’m trying to say.
