Georgia Slut Shaming

Defense attorneys in the Donald Trump RICO case in Fulton County, Georgia are trying to have District Attorney Fani Willis and her team removed from the prosecution. The defense is arguing that Willis and her office should be disqualified and removed from the prosecution, accusing her of benefiting financially from a relationship with the lead prosecutor that she hired to manage the case, Nathan Wade.

If the Willis team is removed, it will delay the trial while a new team is found/created by the state. That team could alter the RICO case of Trump and his cohorts attempting to steal the election in Georgia, and possibly throw out charges for some or all the defendants, including Trump. At the very least, it would delay the trial which is one of Trump’s objectives in all of his trials.

But another goal is to slut shame Willis which is hypocrisy as yesterday, a date was set in New York in the case of Trump making hush payments to porn stars.

The defense argued that during trips to Belize, Aruba, Tennessee and California, Wade paid for Willis, which they argue is a conflict of interest. Wade and Willis both argue she paid her own way and reimbursed him. The only problem with Willis and Wade’s claim is that there are no receipts as all payments were made in cash. Wade can’t produce evidence that he deposited the money in banks. But, the defense attorneys can’t prove their arguments.

Willis and Wade claim the relationship started after Willis hired Wade, but a former friend claims it started before the hiring. The defense team didn’t ask a lot of follow up questions from the FF, taking her at her word.

Willis was defiant and combative, calling the defense attorneys liars on several occasions and stating that she’s not the one on trial.

The defense is trying to make it appear Willis is the one on trial to destroy her credibility. While Willis was defensive, she pushed back with confidence and consistency. She’s a better lawyer than the defense attorneys.

This case is important because it’s the one Trump can’t remove or pardon himself from if he’s returned to the White House. This case can land him and his cohorts in prison.

It’s crazy that the defense’s strategy here is to slut-shame the district attorney when Donald Trump is the biggest orange whore in the nation.

Creative note: I had two ideas for this and I went back and forth between them trying to decide which to draw, to the point that I lettered both of them…which was a lot of lettering. I felt one was funnier while the other went straight to the point. In the end, I went with funnier.
