Antisemtic Bridge Troll

While appearing at The New York Times’ annual DealBook Summit on Wednesday, Elon Musk told advertisers who’ve abandoned Twitter/X over his antisemitic and conspiratorial posts to “go fuck yourself.”

A few weeks ago, a Nazi-loving Twitter/X user posted a claim that Jewish communities support “dialectical hatred against whites.”  and Elon went out of his way to reply, “You have said the actual truth.” Shortly afterward, advertisers started bailing on Twitter/X, not just to avoid being associated with antisemitic Elon but because much of their advertising was landing too close to posts by Nazis.

I’m not a great businessperson or a billionaire but I do know that if your business needs ad dollars to exist and flourish, then you need to attract more advertisers than Nazis. During Wednesday’s summit, Elon told the people he needs the most to “go fuck yourself.” Do you know who he hasn’t told to “go fuck yourself?” Nazis.

Elon played the victim, like all rich white people do, and claimed that companies like Disney and The Washington Post are “blackmailing” him by withholding their advertising. That’s not how blackmailing works. As it was said in a recent commercial, “That’s now how any of this works.”

Elon blames everyone else for Twitter/X collapsing. He’s blaming companies who don’t want to be associated with Nazis, he’s blaming Media Matters for revealing the Nazis, and he’s blaming the Anti-Defamation League for calling him out for his association with Nazis. Do you know who he hasn’t blamed? Nazis.

Elon said during the summit that his “most foolish mistake” since taking over Twitter/X was the reply to the Nazi tweet. Where does restoring Trump’s account rank among Elon’s Twitter mistakes?

He said, “I should in retrospect not have replied to that one person and should have written in greater length what I meant. But those clarifications were ignored by the media and essentially I handed a loaded gun to those who hate me and arguably to those who are antisemitic. And for that I’m quite sorry, that was not my intention.”

That’s not an apology except maybe to himself. His reply was still supporting an antisemitic trope that was used by Nazis to murder over six million Jews. Elon’s reply, the original post, and the Twitter/X Nazi that created it are still there. Elon didn’t say at the summit that he disagree with the Nazi’s post.

Elon blamed his former advertisers for destroying Twitter/X. Do you know who he didn’t blame for destroying Twitter? Nazis.

A comment (that’s since been deleted) by a goon at GoComics on my last cartoon on Elon defended him. The person said something about how he liked that Elon was defending white people. Isn’t it a shame that white male billionaires can never catch a break? Oh, the persecution. the next time you run into a persecuted white male billionaire, give him a hug. Oh yeah. That same commenter has accused me of being racist against white people. That’s not how any of this works.

The Washington Free Beacon, a right-wing “news” outlet has rushed to defend Elon with the headline, “Elon Is Right About The Jews.” That’s like George Santos’ use of campaign funds to subscribe to a porn site being defended by Matt Gaetz, which happened yesterday.

It’s a lovely article by the Free Beacon that defends Elon while explaining that not all Jews are bad. Has Elon tweeted it out yet?

Elon is a troll. He tweets a lot of things just to get reactions. But in the case of many trolls, he’s also racist, antisemitic, and a goon. The problem for many racists, especially if they’re narcissists is that they think they’re smarter than everyone else and they won’t expose their own bigotry. And when they do, they blame other people. How dare you call Elon an antisemite for saying a Nazi was right about Jews.

After the “go fuck yourself” comment, the major advertisers it was directed to have sworn not to return to Twitter, but they eventually will. They’ll return after Elon sells it, which he will, and for much less than he bought it for. The only thing that will prevent advertisers from returning to Twitter is if Elon kills it…for which he’ll blame other people.

I’m not trying to defend Elon, but as you can tell, I don’t really mind expletives when used appropriately. For example: To all Putin-loving antisemitic racist Nazi-hugging Trump-reinstating trolls like Elon Musk, go fuck yourself.
