CLAYTOONZ 
While I agree that the centrist Dems (Senators Slotkin, the accomodationists Sen. Fetterman, Governor Witmer, and those Representatives who voted to censure Congressman Green) are a lost cause, several members of Congress have acquitted themselves well over the last few weeks: AOC, Bernie Sanders, Al Green, Jamie Raskin. Impeachment proceedings should begin, even though they will fail, because they may serve to slow the Mango Mussolini’s rampage through the Constitution. The distractions from Agent Orange’s agenda may prove to be a good thing for the Americans and world’s peoples who will suffer mightily under this regime. In any case, the difficulties being encountered by the Dems are the result of his ever-changing “positions” and his constant lying.
Europeans have moved beyond seeing him as a laughingstock and have come to perceive him as an enemy. The American people must do the same. Deflecting blame to Musk won’t help. He’s a tool ( a reciprocating saw) and will soon be demonstrably useless and so, discarded. But the more subtle threats to the polity must be identified and attacked.

You so right about bringing impeachment charges he has shown himself to be a TRAITOR to our country by standing with Putin and that should not be tolerated by any of us including the pussy Republicans who refuse to stand up to him.

Ken Kesey ends his wonderful and profound novel Sometimes a Great Notion with a set piece. The writer’s cousin dies in a tragically funny logging accident and his father amputates an arm from the drowned man after recovering the body (I forget the details, it’s been 50 years since I read it) and ties it to a mast. He’s last seen guiding a log raft downstream with a last f-you to the oligarchs who control the industry.
