I don’t believe the convicted felon had his hand on the “bible” when he repeated the oath of office. And as he repeated it, I had to laugh because he did not believe the words he was repeating and neither did John Roberts. And neither did JD ‘hitler”.

You’re correct, Traguna – I saw a photo online and he didn’t have his hand on the books that his wife was holding. I’m surprised he didn’t have his left hand behind his back with his tiny little fingers crossed.

I’m wondering why Melania was standing there holding them? I guess probably because if she didn’t it would make it way more noticeable that he didn’t have his hand on it. It doesn’t matter because he’d still lie anyway, right?

Good point and apparently Thomas Jefferson and Calvin Coolidge did not even have bibles when they were sworn in. It’s an path taking ceremony not a religious ceremony. Although he probably did not want the god that chose him to send a lightening bolt down….Sorry had too much tea this morning. – I’m trying to drown my sorrows
