President Biden is pressuring Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to shift to a “lower intensity” and minimize civilian deaths in Gaza in his war against Hamas.
President Biden said, “I want them to be focused on how to save civilian lives. Not stop going after Hamas, but be more careful.” The president warned that Israel’s “indiscriminate bombing” is costing it international support. The U.S. is losing international support as well by refusing to call for a cease-fire.
An Israeli spokesperson said, “As a military committed to international law and a moral code of conduct, we are devoting vast resources to minimizing harm to the civilians that Hamas has forced into the role of human shields. Our war is against Hamas, not against the people of Gaza.” But the Israeli Defense Force can’t tell the difference between Hamas and innocent Palestinian civilians…or even from Israeli hostages.
Last week, the IDF killed three male Israeli hostages while they were waving a white flag. Two of the hostages were shot and killed and a third who was wounded went inside a building and shouted for help. Even after the Israeli commander ordered a cease-fire, the third hostage was shot and killed after reemerging from the building.
The official response to this from the Israeli government is, “Oops.” If Israel is this careless with their own citizens, how are we to trust that they care about Palestinian civilians. They don’t.
An assessment from U.S. Intelligence says that nearly half the munitions Israel has dropped on Gaza are “dumb bombs”. These are bombs that are unguided with zero precision. You shoot or drop the bomb and hope it hits your target and not something like a hospital or daycare center.
The Office of the Director of National Intelligence told CNN that 40-45 percent of the 29,000 air-to-ground munitions Israel has used have been unguided. Keep in mind that these dumb bombs are being dropped in one of the most densely populated areas in the world with about 21,000 people per square mile. Even precision-guided bombs are going to kill civilians in such a densely packed area.
Brian Castner, Amnesty International’s senior crisis adviser on arms and military operations and a former Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) officer, said, “I’m extremely surprised and concerned.”
Castner said, “It’s bad enough to be using the weapons when they are precisely hitting their targets. It is a massive civilian harm problem if they do not have that accuracy, and if you can’t even give a benefit of the doubt that the weapon is actually landing where the Israeli forces intended to.”
The Hamas-run Gaza Ministry of Health claims that more than 18,000 Palestinians have been killed over the last two months.
We can’t trust information coming from Hamas but we also know that we can’t trust promises from Benjamin Netanyahu.

Heels are bring dug in. Your choice of the definition of the word used. Much of this can be laid at the feet of Kushner and his father in law. The proposal cited here https://time.com/5617713/kushner-deal-century-manama-palestinians/ resulted in what a Hamas reaaction that I think lead to gave energy to Hamas taking the action that was taken on Oct 7. They were backed into a corner. Belive me what they did should not have been done. Bunt nothing was done by these stumble fuucs to bridge the gap. But watch Biden will take the heat.

Israeli bombs are indiscriminately wiping out the people who live in Gaza because Netanyahu wants that territory for his people — not just because he wants to wipe out HAMAS. In his mind every Palestinian is HAMAS, but they are not. He knows he is killing civilians but he doesn’t care. Evdry dead Palestinian is another sq. yd. of territory gained for Israel. Expect the borders to look much differently soon.
