Roughs, Volume 219

This is part two of the batch I drew last Friday, March 1. The first part was published yesterday.

I sat on this one for a week and was finally able to draw it yesterday.

I published the completed version of this on Tuesday and it was a hit.

I was assigned to do something on Trump and Biden conducting photo-ops at the border on the same day.

There are two versions of this. This one…

And this is two. Nothing came of either.

I liked this one and think it’s funny but I didn’t want to both sides it and make it seem these guys are comparable. One of them is a good and decent man we can all trust. The other is Donald Trump.

This sucked.

If I wasn’t burned out on the Trump sneakers, I may have gone with this one.

Which are your faves? Oh, yeah. I drew around 17 roughs today so there will be two batches of roughs again next week.

  1. Tough call. I like a mash up of the kids commenting on the 91 charges on one side and the mango mobster complaing about english on the other. The kids could be speaking

Spanish but with caption box with translation on the bottom. And mango mobster would have a Spanish translation of his complaints in a caption box.The kids would be on the right and the mobster on the left in the two panel sequence.

  2. My favorite is the kids pointing to the criminal at the border. Second runner-up is Taco Bell, removing the Biden panel and maybe fleshing out the dRump side as a stand-alone. I also like Zapatos Fabrica.
