  1. I’m sure you will get hate mail over this. I hope you remind those people that Kirk mocked Paul Pelosi after the assault that nearly took his life, called on “patriots” to bail the attacker out of jail, and made money by selling memorial hammers and similarly tasteless merchandise through Turning Point. You were too kind to him.

  2. I’m in with Clarence Darrow and his quote: “All men have an emotion to kill; when they strongly dislike some one they involuntarily wish he was dead. I have never killed any one, but I have read some obituary notices with great satisfaction.”

I have something I call the Clarence Darrow Memorial Reading List, which consists of the names of people whose obituaries I hope to read before it’s time for mine to get published.

    1. He’s quoting Kirk’s own words. Kirk also said, “I can’t stand the word empathy, actually. I think empathy is a made-up, new age term that — it does a lot of damage.”

I can’t imagine that Charlie would want anyone to phony up their reaction to his death, do you? Clay is doing his job as a journalist and cartoonist. (not that he needs anyone to defend him, but I’m sick of these shows of sympathy for such an evil man as Charlie, so I’m butting in.)
