Hillary Clinton feels the need to separate herself from Obama as she positions a run for her former boss’ job. She’s criticizing his foreign policy which is strange since she pretty much implemented his foreign policy for four years. She might want to be careful criticizing him in this area. Yeah, polls are down on the job Obama’s doing internationally but that could change by 2016. Some world events can move pretty fast. Remember that great idea on invading Iraq? Hillary voted for that.
In reality Obama is not doing a bad job with foreign policy. There are horrible things going on in the world that we can’t control. And why should we be the ones to control them?
Should we go to war with Russia? Even George W. wasn’t that stupid. What should we do with Israel and Gaza? throw more money at it? Do you want another invasion of Iraq?
It doesn’t matter what Obama does, he’ll still be attacked for it. Republicans attack him for the mess they created in Iraq and say we should drop bombs….so we start dropping bombs and Republicans criticize him for the way he’s dropping bombs.
These talking points are getting nuts. When they find a theme they stick to it for a week, or his entire term. Every single conservative commentator takes up the same argument at the same time. Conservatives don’t have a lot going in the area of originality….or thinking independently.
The talking point for this week are the number of vacations Obama has taken and how many rounds of golf he’s played. Obama could spend the rest of his term on vacation and he probably still wouldn’t catch up to George W. If you point the hypocrisy out to conservatives they don’t get it. They don’t understand. They give the same blank expression of cluelessness I get from my Beagle when I ask him who got in the trash. Only difference is my Beagle is only playing dumb. Conservatives….eh. We are talking about a party that looks for leadership from Sarah Palin.
