Slippery When Stupid

cjones06162020

Gerald Ford was a clumsy president. And I’m not talking with policy though that Nixon pardon was a huge mess, but Ford literally fell down the steps of Air Force One. He had a bum knee from playing college football and maybe the steps were wet. Shit happens, right? But he also fell UP the steps of Air Force One. That’s clumsy. And as clumsy as Ford was, I can’t find any quotes from the guy lying about it.

The only reason Donald Trump hasn’t literally fallen down since he became president (sic) is that he has low energy. He walks slow. He takes baby steps. He avoids stairs and rain. He even holds cups with both hands. He does all this because he has a fear the “fake news” will catch it and broadcast it on TV. OK, but if “fake news” shows him falling down after he falls down, how is the news fake?

The day before Donald Trump turned 74, the oldest a president (sic) has ever been in his first term, he spoke to cadets at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

First, he spoke with very little energy and without any enthusiasm. It was like he was reading the phonebook and every name was Johnson. Maybe it was an Adderall crash. At one point during his speech, he picked up a glass of water for a sip with his right hand. As he raised it to his mouth, he started trembling like he couldn’t raise it any higher. He then used his left hand to help push it up. This is not the first time we’ve seen this. Can somebody get the president (sic) a straw? Maybe we can give him one that loops around all silly, like a rollercoaster. Whee.

After his speech, he had to exit using a ramp. Donald Trump took baby steps while walking down the ramp. He walked down the ramp as if he had an invisible walker. He did kinda jog for the last three steps, probably because of momentum and the fact he’s a really big guy. He is the largest president (sic) since President Taft (But you won dumbest, Tubby. Go you).

If the ramp was wet, you’d think, so what? Who hasn’t slipped on a step in the past? Even sober people fall down. But Donald Trump, who has to present an image of a perfect human being without any flaws, was so sensitive about it that he issued a tweet. Shocking.

Trump tweeted, “The ramp that I descended after my West Point Commencement speech was very long & steep, had no handrail and, most importantly, was very slippery. The last thing I was going to do is ‘fall’ for the Fake News to have fun with. Final ten feet I ran down to level ground. Momentum!” Yeah, buddy. Roll a barrel down a hill and see how fast it goes. It doesn’t mean the barrel is healthy or not a racist.

Donald Trump, who has literally lied about the weather in the past, lied about the weather in his tweet. The skies were blue so how was the “very long & steep” ramp slippery? Did some evil snickering Democrat lace it with banana peels? Maybe William Barr should investigate President Obama for that. Fortunately, for Donald Trump, his supporters would rather believe his bullshit than their eyes.

One theory that’s been proposed is the reason he had to walk gingerly is that he was wearing lifts. You know, high heels. He has to make everyone believe he’s 6 foot 3 and at least as tall as President Obama. If he had balance, he’d be walking around on stilts.

The reason this is an actual issue isn’t because it’s funny and we want to mock him. Would you laugh if Donald Trump faceplanted on live television? Shame on you. But the actually concern is for his health because….ugh…Donald Trump is the president (sic) of the United States of America. There have been lingering questions about his health even before he was fraudulently elected by Russians.

In 2015, on his way to stealing an election, his personal doctor released a statement saying, “If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency.” Of course, that doesn’t sound like anything an actual physician would write and as it turned out, Trump dictated it. Shocking.

Trump has been wobbly in the past. In 2017 at the White House, he clutched UK Prime Minsters Theresa May’s hand so he wouldn’t fall down while climbing a few steps. This is a guy who looks like he’s having trouble just by standing. In England, he had difficulty walking in coordination with the 94-year-old Queen Elizabeth, but everyone was mostly relieved he didn’t fall and crush her.

Last November, Donald Trump had a sudden trip to Walter Reed Medical Center that wasn’t on his schedule. The White House only explained it as getting a jump start on his annual physical. Most doctors don’t do physicals in installments. There is something wrong there.

After his first physical as president (sic), the White House doctor said some incredible bullshit about Trump’s health like he could live to be over 200-years old. Seriously. When Nazis start living to 200, we’re fucked.

During the 2016 campaign, Donald Trump kept questioning the health of Hillary Clinton, especially after she caught pneumonia and needed help getting into a car after nearly falling down. The National Enquirer, who was supporting Trump, posted on their cover so every checkout counter in the country displayed it, that Clinton only had six months to live. She’s still here. His surrogates, including Russian hackers, questioned her physical and mental health.

Further proof Donald Trump has a medical condition is that he projects. If he questions Hillary Clinton’s health, then his health must be pretty bad. If anything, Hillary Clinton has shown remarkable stamina while Donald Trump has to park his golf cart right next to where his ball landed (or next to the ball he plans to steal), even on the green.

If Donald Trump questions Joe Biden’s mental health, then Donald Trump must have some seriously broken toys in his attic. There’s a very sad Jack-in-the-box up there with a broken spring. And duh, look at the guy’s tweets and the shit that comes out of his mouth. He’s a raving lunatic who has never heard of karma.

I don’t wish ill will on Trump in regards to his health. I want the health of his presidency (sic) to die a quick death. I don’t care if it’s painless or not. Just go. As for his physical and mental health, I don’t want anything bad to happen to him. I have heard of karma. But Donald Trump has made this nation sick and if he’s reelected, the United States of America could die.

Is it funny when this president (sic) has trouble drinking water or walking? Only because he thinks it’s funny when others have issues. Donald Trump is a jerk. Will he think it’s funny when he kills our democracy? Republicans seem to be enjoying it.

So if you don’t like Donald Trump and what he’s doing to this nation, laugh away. Because this nation will never get its health back as long as Donald Trump is president…Sick.

Take care of yourself and your family first.

But, all and any help is greatly appreciated and it helps keep me going. Think of me like a street performing busking out tunes on a corner (I won’t play “Wonderwall.” I promise). If you like the tune, or in this case, toon, throw a buck into the tip jar. It’ll help me play another song, draw another toon, write another blog, make another video, and post another snarky post on social media. It’ll help keep me alive. Toasty Racist Symbols

cjones12192019

Touching the thumb and forefinger together with your remaining three fingers outstretched is mostly associated with meaning “OK,” but there are several other meanings internationally as well. But over the last few years, it’s been appropriated by white supremacists to mean “white power.” The idea is that it forms “WP” for “white power.”

The gesture is turned upside down when used as a white power symbol, and it’s usually displayed in a way the racist can claim they were doing something else. It’s commonly displayed in the background, behind someone who is the focus of a photo or video, or while adjusting a button, or any other way the user can claim innocence while flashing a wink to their fellow racists that they’re one of them. It beats screaming something racist like “I hate black people” or “Trump 2020!”

Since the symbol has had other meanings for decades, it allows the racists to defend it and claim they weren’t flashing a racist symbol. One way to tell it was a racist symbol is if it was flashed upside down, in a group setting, or when conservatives defend it as something harmless. Why does that conservative want to defend it so badly?

During the Army-Navy football game last Saturday, several cadets and midshipmen flashed the symbol. Why? Were they wanting viewers at home to know they’re all OK? Usually, this is the most boring game of the year (there were only seven attempted passes in the entire game), but the hate symbol flashed in the stands made it controversial. Do you know who won the game? Probably not and you don’t care. Now, officials at West Point and Annapolis are investigating to find out if it was used to express racist sentiments. Spoiler alert: It was.

In 2017, it started as a hoax. Some users of 4chan, a racist online message board, began what they called “Operation O-KKK,” to see if they could trick the wider world, and especially liberals and the mainstream media, into believing that the innocuous gesture was actually a clandestine symbol of white power. What these idiots don’t understand is that their use of it turned it into a racist symbol. It’s no longer a hoax, if it ever was one. Think about it. Why would a non-racist want to trick someone into thinking they were flashing a racist symbol?

Racists Milo Yiannopolous and Richard Spencer have used it. White House racist aide Stephen Baby Goebbels Miller has used it. Roger Stone has used it. Former White House aide, Zina Bash, flashed it while sitting behind Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearings.  Brenton Tarrant, the white supremacist accused of killing 50 people in back-to-back mass shootings at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, smiled and flashed the sign to reporters at a court hearing on his case. The United States Coast Guard suspended an officer for flashing it on TV. Four Alabama cops were suspended for flashing it in a photo. The Chicago Cubs banned a fan from Wrigley Field for flashing it behind a black sports commentator while he was on camera.

The symbols use is wide enough for us to stop wondering if it’s something racist.

The military academy had to remove a slogan associated with racist groups from its spirit flag earlier this month. So, the defense that the symbol was used as part of a made-you-look punching game doesn’t really fly. There are racists at our military academies.

West Point’s superintendent, Gen. Darryl Williams, said in a statement, “The United States Military Academy is fully committed to developing leaders of character who embody the Army values.”

Donald Trump was present at the game wearing one of his “Keep America Great” hats, which has also been deemed a racist slogan.

I’m going to help the schools’ investigators out. If these students support Donald Trump, then you know they don’t have any values. They don’t have ethics, principles, or morals and perhaps you should go ahead and drum them out of your schools and their uniforms. They don’t deserve to wear them.

Donald Trump is a liar. He assaults women. He’s a racist. He’s a Russian asset. He’s made it clear he’ll accept and even solicit a foreign nation’s help in his reelection. The man is proud to cheat. There are no values in supporting Donald Trump. Anyone who supports him has a very loose and shaky relationship with the truth, honesty, and ethics.

And anyone who supports Donald Trump, including cadets and midshipmen, is “OK” with racism.

Lies! Lies! Lies! Yeah!

cjones11092015

How ridiculous is it that a candidate’s argument that he’s an honest man, is that he’s telling the truth when he says he really attacked his mother with a hammer? Let’s take him at his word on that one and believe he really did attack his mother with a hammer. OK, Dr. Carson. I believe you. You attacked your mom with a hammer. You say you’ve changed. I’ll believe that. But I’m still not voting for a psychopath who attacked his mother with a hammer.

Ben Carson has said some stupid things like people turn gay in prison, or the pyramids were build to store grain, or Muslims can’t be president, people should rush shooters, Evolution was created by Satan, armed Jews would have prevented the Holocaust, Noah’s amateur built Ark versus professionally built Titanic, or the Founding Fathers didn’t have political experience. Those aren’t lies. Those are just examples of him being bat-crap crazy. Well that Founding Father thing is either a lie or sheer stupidity and ignorance.

Ben Carson has a bigger problem. He’s pathological when it comes to lying. You can defend him by saying all candidates lie. That’s not a defense. Yes, most candidates lie. Most do it to pad their resume and they usually come clean when caught. Not Ben Carson. Ben Carson doesn’t have a fabrication or two. He’s habitual. And he doubles down. Who does he think is? Bill O’Reilly?

One of Carson’s defenses is using a clipping from a parody. He claims there was a fake test while he was at Yale. All the other students walked out and then he was told there wasn’t a test, it was a hoax, here’s a $10 reward and let’s take your photo for the school newspaper. The Wall Street Journal, a conservative publication, can’t find proof. He offers proof with an article from the Yale Record, and it’s labeled at the top “PARODY.” Next the guy’s going to cite The Onion as basis of proof, or even worse….Fox News, The Daily Caller, Brietbart, etc. No wonder these guys can’t tell the difference between news and satire.

Carson has now lashed out at the media and has even said the burden is not on him to prove everything he says is true. Who gave him a liar get out of jail free card? Republicans get mad when what they say is looked into to.

He also deflects by saying Obama’s background wasn’t vetted this way. On that point: Hey, Crazy Ben, can we see your college transcripts and birth certificate?

It’s hard to keep track of Carson’s lies at this point. It’s to the point where I’m trying to go a day without drawing on Ben Carson. Whether Carson is making up stories about a fake test at Yale, receiving scholarship offers, meeting dead Generals, attacking family members with hammers and knives, attacking others with rocks, bricks and baseball bats, telling a gunman he wants the guy behind the counter, or hiding white students from black students during a riot. I wonder what new Carson lie will make news tomorrow.

You would think a candidate who lies like this would be damaged goods. With 13 other candidates to choose from you can find a Republican to support without the insanity baggage. So why are Republicans circling the wagons around Carson? It’s because when a candidate lies it damages their support. With Carson his lies are the reason he’s supported. Every qualification this man has offered as his requirement to be president has been proven a lie. Being a great surgeon is not a qualification to be president (it can be a positive). Each thing a supporter can give to support Carson, is a Carson lie.

Guess what happens when you tie yourself to an anchor? Hillary Clinton is elected president, that’s what happens.
