Roughs, Volume 90

First, let me apologize. I drew a lot of roughs on Giuliani last week. And, I’m not even posting one of them in this collection. It’s an idea I still intend to make an official cartoon out of, so you can’t see it yet. Let’s get it on

CNNrough1202

We’ll start with the roughs that are not on Rudy. I liked this and planned on drawing it. Time got away from me and I didn’t do anything on Biden’s address to Congress. That’s it. The rest are on Rudy.

CNNrough1199

Yeah. This happened before.

CNNrough1207

I loved the concept of Borat and I was surprised other cartoonists didn’t use it.

CNNrough1206

This is when I knew I was on to something but I wasn’t there yet.

CNNrough1205

This is the one we went with for CNN. My editor liked the inclusion of the cat.

CNNrough1204

I wasn’t there yet.

CNNrough1203

Rudy and Gaetz are two goons I can’t draw enough and soon, I will publish and send a cartoon featuring both of them to my clients.

CNNrough1201

This went nowhere but I just liked the concept. I’m going to work it in somewhere down the line.

CNNrough1200

I told you I drew a lot of Rudy.

CNNrough1198

This was my very first idea when the news of the raid broke. Take note, student cartoonists: You don’t always draw your first idea.

CNNrough1197

And I did this cartoon for my clients.

CNNrough1211

This rough is from this past week. I really liked the idea until I drew it out.

CNNrough1209

I started drawing this last week, then I decided to do something else, something I can’t remember now. But I finally drew it today and it’s doing really well on social media.

CNNrough1210

This is the one CNN chose for this week. My editor liked it so much, he chose it by 11:00 AM (or was it 10?) which was awesome for me.

I had a lot of fun drawing most of these, especially the Rudy toons. Since I know you’re going to say one of the Rudy cartoons is your favorite, which Rudy is your favorite? My favorite is still yet to be posted.
