Executive Trolls

Executive orders are something every president issues.  Some more than others and some a LOT more than others.  It’s also one of the issues that prove how hypocritical conservatives can be in their hatred of Obama.

John McCain said ” we’re seeing an abuse of the intent of the Constitution.”  Yeah, I wonder how many executive orders he would have issued if he had beaten Obama in 2008.

John Boehner said “We’re going to watch very closely, because there’s a Constitution that we all take an oath to, including him, and following the Constitution is the basis for House Republicans.“ 

Ted Cruz gave the best quote.  It’s so good I put it in the cartoon.  He said “this is just part of a ”persistent pattern of lawlessness” and a “willingness to disregard the written law and instead enforce his own policies via executive fiat.”

Once again conservatives have fun with facts.

Here’s some facts:  Obama has issued 168 executive orders in five years.  that’s two less than George H.W. Bush, in four years.  George W. Bush comes in at 291 in five years and Reagan, the great messiah for conservatives, comes in at 381.

Let conservatives have fun with those numbers but they’ll do what they always do best.  Ignore facts.
