Happy Trails, Cuccinelli

Reblogged from fredericksburg.com.

Saturday was Ken Cuccinelli’s last day as Virginia’s Attorney General.  It’s probably his very last day to EVER be an elected official.  For that matter it’s probably Bob McDonnell’s last day to ever be an elected official.  2014 is already looking good.

After losing to new governor Terry McAuliffe last November, Cuccinelli needs to find work…and he’s got one gig already.  He’s going to  assist U.S. Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) with a class-action suit against the National Security Agency over its surveillance of Americans’ phone records.  It’s not the first time he’s fought the Obama administration in court as he’s gone to war with them over Obamacare…and lost.

It’s really funny how conservatives like Cuccinelli want to restrict government regulations and they campaign for less government meddling in our private lives….while advocating more government meddling in our private lives.

Cuccinelli is obsessed with sex.  More exactly, he’s obsessed about other people having sex and thinks they should stop.  He fought as a state legislator and attorney general, unsuccessfully,  to reinstate an old Virginia law that classified consensual oral and anal sex as criminal behaviors.   Basically he wants people to go to jail for doing the nasty.  On top of all that he’s done everything he can to circumvent Roe Vs. Wade and now he’s trying to “advise” McAuliffe on how to handle state regulations implemented during Cuccinelli’s term.  Never mind, Ken.  The new governor has a lawyer. His name is Mark Herring and he’s a Democrat.

I’m really going to miss Cuccinelli.  Hey, maybe he’ll loom large in McDonnell’s upcoming court case over gift taking.

Not having Cuccinelli in office anymore is a victory for those who believe in women rights, family planning, gays and lesbians, those who want the government out of their bedrooms,  and basically anyone who’s not a knuckle-dragging stick in the mud.

Here’s the rough.

  1. You, for good reason, left out Mark Cole and his Republican strategy to curtail any and all Virginia Constitution Amendment changes until 2015. I play with words, have two tea cup Yorkies, drive a 20 year old ford explorer and a sister who died of a cancer she brought on herself.
