Title 42 Boo-Hoo

Two things: I don’t like the term “illegal” to describe refugees or the word “invasion” for people seeking a better life in the United States. I use them here to use the type of language you would hear on hate TV. And that’s exactly what you will find on Fox News, One America News, Newsmax, and all the various right-wing websites. Hate. Hate and fear sell. And that’s exactly what Republicans have been selling by warning that ending Title 42 will bring about the end of days for the United States.

Republicans have been warning that the end of Title 42 would bring calamity and overwhelm our nation with an invasion of our southern border and the “Great Replacement” would begin. The order was lifted last Thursday and guess what. Border crossings actually went down.

Title 42 was created in 1944 to limit entries into this nation during a public health crisis. It’s vaguely written and the Trump administration used it as an excuse to deny LEGAL entry into this nation by immigrants from south of the United States. The Trump policy was created by Stephen Baby Goebbels Miller, who has zero expertise in public health but tons of experience with white nationalism. Now when you hear goons cry that it will increase illegal entries into this nation, they’re wrong. The rule had nothing to do with illegal entry and is only about people attempting to enter our nation legally. If someone wants to enter our nation illegally, Title 42 wasn’t going to stop them.

The same people who scream at you for continuing to wear a face mask and even deny we were in a pandemic are the same fuckos howling about the end of Title 42. The code is not to be implemented because you hate brown people but because there’s a public health crisis. If you want to use Title 42 while claiming the pandemic was a hoax, then you’re abusing it. I addressed this a few months ago.

If you support ending all covid regulations then you need to support the removal of Title 42. You can’t have it both ways, although you have tried. MAGAts want every covid restriction lifted except the one that prevented brown people from entering our nation.

Several of my right-wing colleagues predicted the border would be overrun by immigrant seeking legal entry into our nation, but OOPS, and OOPS, and OOPS. That’s embarrassing. But don’t worry. I’m here to point it out for you. Personally, I think all three goon cartoonists should be forced to perform the Little Wrong Man dance.

The first cartoon was drawn by someone who doesn’t understand the issue. He claims we have “open borders” yet he has a fence in the cartoon (cartooning tip: Don’t destroy your own argument in your own cartoon). And while decrying the end of Title 42, there are immigrants climbing over that fence. I guess the cartoonist doesn’t understand that Title 42 is about LEGAL entry…not illegal. People pleading for asylum and entering our nation legally, which is what most of these immigrants are doing, don’t climb over fences. It’s not like Kurt Cobain climbing over a fence to escape a rehab facility he entered voluntarily (yes, he did that).

Whether we have Title 42 or not, we have an immigration problem in this nation. The problem isn’t that people want to come here. The problem is how we handle it. But everyone who comes to our border and appeals for asylum has a legal right to enter this nation and move around freely in it until they have a hearing for their asylum. They don’t deserve to be forced to sleep on sidewalks in Juarez or used as political props by Republican governors who ship them to blue states. And they don’t deserve to be scapegoated, called “illegals” or be accused of “invading” our country.

Fun fact: Immigration isn’t the largest crisis this nation is facing. The crisis isn’t that they’re entering, it’s how we’re dealing with it. We need to change the way we think about immigration and stop seeing it as a crisis that hurts us, but more of a humanitarian crisis for the people who need our help. We need to understand that when they get here, they make our country better.

A much greater crisis in this nation is hate and domestic terrorism which is enabled and supported by the same people who want to keep Title 42.

Caw-Caw to Racists

Alabama must not care about its image of being a racist state because it sent a racist to the United States Senate. In addition to being one of the dumbest members of Congress (he thinks World War II was a battle against socialism, that Al Gore was president-elect for 30 days, and the three branches of government are the House, Senate, and Cracker Barrell), Tommy Tuberville is one of the most racist members of Congress.

Tuberbille is currently singlehandedly blocking over 200 promotions in the military over…wait for it…wokeness. I told you he’s dumb. Tuberville believes the Pentagon is forcing members of the armed services to read liberal books and is providing abortions.

Tuberville said, “They’re politicizing the military so much, they’re ruining our military,” while he’s blocking promotions and harming our military’s preparedness because of politics. Tuberville’s actions on the military are so extreme, that other Republicans have criticized him for it, including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

The military is the most trusted government institution. While Americans have distrust over the presidency, Congress, and even the Supreme Court, most give high marks to the military. Most Americans support our troops. Perhaps having a black Secretary of Defense is what makes it so difficult for Tommy Tuberville to support our military because Tommy Tuberville is a racist.

At a Trump event last year in Nevada, Tuberville equated black people with criminals. He said, “They want crime because they want to take over what you got. They want to control what you have. They want reparations because they think the people that do the crime are owed that.” That’s pretty fucking racist.

A couple days ago, Tommy Tub-Tub gave an interview on a radio show and howled about conservatives being oppressed and kicked out of the military, which isn’t happening. In the interview, he said, “The Democrats are attacking our military, saying we need to get out the White extremists, the White nationalists, people that don’t believe in our agenda.”

He also said, “We, our military and (Defense Secretary Lloyd) Austin put out an order to stand down and all military across the country, saying we’re going to run out the White nationalists, people that don’t believe how we believe and that’s not how we do it in this country.”

When asked if White nationalists should be allowed to serve in the military, he replied, “They call them that. I call them Americans.” This is the most support white nationalist terrorists have received from an elected official since Donald Trump said “stand back and stand by” to the Proud Boys.

Tuberville wasn’t complaining about the left villainizing Trump supporters and painting them as racists and domestic terrorists. No, he was defending white nationalists. He was defending racists. Do you know who commits the most terrorist acts in this nation? White nationalists, that’s who.

And if he was trying to defend conservatives from accusations of being racists, he failed big time because he’s stupid.

Tubby got his argument from Tucker Carlson, who also defended white nationalists on his primetime show before Fox News fired him (and not because he’s a racist). When President Biden promised to “confront and defeat” the “rise of political extremism, white supremacy, and domestic terrorism,” Tucker took issue with that.

Tucker didn’t say, “Yeah, let’s defeat racism.” No, Tucker defended the racists. Tucker asked on his show, “What does it mean to wage war on white supremacists? Can somebody tell us in very clear language what a white supremacist is?”

The thing is, you don’t have to tell Tucker in “very clear language” what a white supremacist is. All you have to do is hand him a mirror. And while we’re at it, hand one to Tommy as well, because when that stupid motherfucker looks in a mirror, the person he’ll see staring back at him is a stupid white nationalist.

I’m not worried about the lifting of Title 42 allowing more Latino migrants into this nation. I would rather have them than homegrown white nationalists like Tucker Carlson and Tommy Tuberbille.

Foster The Sheeple

This cartoon may go over a few heads. I accept it may be too subtle but I also know that a lot of people don’t really understand Title 42. I hate to explain cartoons because they should be able to stand on their own, but I’ll make a bit of an exception today.

The Trump administration enacted Title 42 to expel migrants and prevent refugees from being able to even apply for asylum. The Biden administration has vowed to end it and enact a more humane policy, and it was set to expire last week…until Chief Justice of the Supreme Court John Roberts placed a stay on it. I still don’t understand how one member of the Supreme Court can do that without a vote.

Republicans, MAGAts, and horrible vile people in general love Title 42, and they’re all playing Chicken Little over the potential ending of it, predicting doom and gloom for this nation without it. But what exactly is Title 42?

It’s not a new policy. Donald Trump and Stephen Baby Goebbels Miller didn’t create it. It’s a clause of the 1944 Public Health Services Law that “allows the government to prevent the introduction of individuals during certain public health emergencies.” In case someone hit you really hard in the head recently, we just had a public health emergency. And the Trump administration used the COVID-19 pandemic as an excuse to kick out migrants without giving them a chance to apply for asylum. They used it to hide the real reason they didn’t want brown people coming here from, as Trump termed it, “shithole countries.” The real reason is that Donald Trump is a racist. So is Stephen Miller who is now the head of a legal organization for white nationalists. If someone steps on your white privilege, Baby Goebbels will sue them for you. I’m not making this up.

Federal law states that any non-citizen within the United States can make a claim for asylum.

So Trump and his goons, like Baby Goebbels, enacted Title 42 over concerns about people entering this nation and further spreading the coronavirus, yet Trump and his goons played down the pandemic.

Donald Trump told us in 2020, “We have it totally under control” and that it was “one person coming in from China.” He told us in February 2020 that it would “magically go away” by April 2020. When there were only 15 known cases in the country, Trump told us, “Within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero” and, “That’s a pretty good job we’ve done.” Before February 2020 was over, he said, “It’s going to disappear. One day, it’s like a miracle, it will disappear.” He proposed fake cures and conspiracy theories and didn’t really seem to understand the seriousness of Covid-19 until he caught it, which was because he ignored safety protocols in the White House.

During the pandemic, it would have been healthier to lick stripper poles over visiting the Trump White House.

Trump also claimed that Democrats were “politicizing” the virus…the same virus he said would disappear yet used to enact a policy to expel refugees.

Breaking it down, Donald Trump told America not to worry about the virus, that it was being politicized by his enemies, yet used it to expel non-citizens from Latin America.

This brings us to the present, where the same people who waged war against science, face masks, vaccines, social distancing, and every other safety measure, claiming they were all hoaxes and vilified the scientists like Dr. Anthony Fauci for trying to save this nation from the coronavirus pandemic, are all howling to preserve Title 42, which is still in effect because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Their argument is: The virus isn’t a threat anymore but let’s keep a policy in place to expel brown people so they don’t give us the virus.

The people who support preserving Title 42 aren’t even using the pandemic in their arguments. But you can’t keep Title 42 in effect if there’s not a public health concern from the virus. Even the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court should be able to understand that.

The fact Republicans are worried that lifting Title 42 will create a disaster on the border as migrants enter the nation also destroys their argument that we have open borders. If we have open borders, then why are migrants on the other side of it waiting for us to lift Title 42?

Immigration is a complicated issue but Republican arguments against it are not. Immigrants give more to this nation than they take. Let them in. Lift Title 42. Sure, let’s provide more assistance to our border states to deal with immigration, but let’s stop using outdated health policies to disguise Republican racism. And while we’re at it, let’s press criminal charges against those GOP governors who keep sending migrants to other states for political stunts.

Something else I find amusing is how Republicans and MAGAts still react to people wearing face masks. At the start of the pandemic, they didn’t want to wear face masks and they argued it was fine if you wanted to wear them, but forcing them to wear one in public or in a private business they didn’t own was an assault on their freedom. Now, they attack my freedom to wear a face mask.

I’m wearing a face mask in my profile pics on Truth Social and Instagram and it really triggers the MAGAts, even though my wearing a mask doesn’t affect them at all. I even got called a “sheeple” a few days ago on Truth Social even though the word is plural and I’m just one person. A few months ago, I even got a “let’s go, Brandon” on a public bus for wearing a face mask.

Here’s the thing, goons… If you’re going to scream at me for wearing a face mask, shouting, “Let’s go, Brandon,” and calling me a “sheeple,” then you gotta also be against Title 42.
