Hacking

Hack Of The Penguins

cjones11012018

Republicans love to chant “lock her up” about Hillary Clinton. They really want to send her to prison. Perhaps they’ve been chanting the chant for so long that they’ve forgotten why they want to “lock her up.”

During her tenure as Secretary of State, Clinton used a private server for her government emails. Many people feel this server was vulnerable to hacking by foreign governments. The FBI investigated then declined to press charges. They made a big deal about it days before the election. Despite this, Republicans and Trump sycophants still want to see her in a prison jumpsuit. Why? Because they’re assholes. It’s definitely not because they take the security of government secrets seriously.

If they did take it seriously, they’d be outraged that Donald Trump has continued to expose himself to foreign spies after being warned time and time again. Why? Because he’s too damn lazy to follow protocol.

The government supplies Trump with secure phones which they replace about every thirty days. Obama complained about the phones because there’s not much you can do with them. He joked that they were like toy phones you would give to a child. Now, the child in the White House refuses to use those phones or the secure landline provided to him in the White House. He insists on using his own iPhone.

For a guy who hasn’t figured out how to close an umbrella, new technology can be challenging. But, how difficult can it be to use the landline when calling your rich jerkwad buddies and Sean Hannity for late-night gossip sessions? Oh yeah. Because he doesn’t want records on whom he’s talking to. Frankly, I wouldn’t want anyone to know I was watching Hannity less enough talking to him.

But, since he is using an unsecured phone, it’s not just likely that he’s being spied on by foreign governments. He is being spied on by foreign governments. According to The New York Times, by the Russians and the Chinese. The Russians are spying to check in on their investment and the Chinese are using it to manipulate him as they have financial interests in many of the people Trump chooses to talk to.

The only silver lining in all of this is that Donald Trump may be too stupid to retain national security secrets for long periods of time. So, what the spies are mostly hearing is what we’re hearing. They’re getting a lot of conspiracy theories, bigotry, and Trump talking about how great Trump is. They’re probably also getting a lot of “the entire world is mean to me.” I kinda feel sorry for the spies on the Trump iPhone detail. I learned English for this?

Trump tweeted out a denial stating, “The so-called experts on Trump over at the New York Times wrote a long and boring article on my cellphone usage that is so incorrect I do not have time here to correct it. I only use Government Phones, and have only one seldom used government cell phone. Story is soooo wrong!” Naturally, the tweet was sent from an iPhone.

The Chinese didn’t even bother to deny the report and instead, offered some advice. Their foreign minister said, “If they are worrying about iPhones being tapped, they can use Huawei.” Huawei is a Chinese-made cell phone.

As for the penguins, who are further south than South America? Trump stated there were people in the caravan from South America and further south. Huh? Someone should show him a map and explain that big white area at the bottom below South America is Antarctica.

I know it’s really hard to keep track of the lies about the caravan. They’re full of gang bangers and Islamic terrorists invading us by slowing walking over 2,000 miles toward our border to give each of us leprosy. Never mind the fact most won’t make it, or that this is a small drop in the immigration bucket if they do actually make through the border.

Another little factoid the sycophants are overlooking is that the people in the caravan actually have the right to come to our border and request asylum. Personally, if someone is willing to leave their home and walk over 2,000 miles to give their children a slight chance of living in the United States, we should hear them out. I think that’s a greater character trait than sitting on a Gab hate forum all day talking about shooting up synagogues or mailing pipe bombs to Trump’s critics.

We don’t need protection from an immigrant caravan that poses no risks to this nation. We need protection from Trump.

An Incredible Offer

cjones07232018

When Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed to allow Robert Mueller to fly to Russia and question the people there he’s indicted in exchange for the U.S. to send over American citizens Putin wants to throw out of high rises, Donald Trump should have given a very quick and negative response.

Trump should have said, “let me think about it and now that I have thought about it hell no.” No commas. No spaces. No pauses. Maybe throw in another expletive. Instead, because he’s Donald Trump who puts his personal interests before those of the United States and engages in treasonous behavior, he said, “it’s an incredible offer.”

That was Monday. Later in the week, Sarah Huckabee Sanders said the president will “meet with his team” to mull over the “incredible offer.”

Even though nearly 80% of Republicans polled believe Trump’s Helsinki summit with Putin was a success, Republicans in elected offices had a little trouble swallowing the idea of handing Americans over to Putin.

The Senate voted 98-0 to approve a resolution introduced by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) that the U.S. should “refuse to make available any current or former diplomat, civil servant, political appointee, law enforcement official, or member of the Armed Forces of the United States for questioning by the government of Vladimir Putin.” In other words, no. The Senate actually compromised and passed something in less time than it took Donald Trump to decide that handing American citizens over to Putin was a bad idea.

It took four days for Trump to reject Putin’s “incredible offer.” Huckabee Sanders said in a statement, “It is a proposal that was made in sincerity by President Putin, but President Trump disagrees with it.” It was made in “sincerity?”

One of the people Putin wants to be handed over is Obama’s ambassador to Russia, Michael McFaul. He said, “Most shocking, and just lamentable, I think is my real reaction, when the White House was given the opportunity to categorically reject this moral equivalency between a legitimate indictment with lots of data and evidence to support it from Mr. Mueller with a crazy, cockamamie scheme with no relationship to facts and reality whatsoever, the White House refused to do that.”

Bill Browder is an American-born British financier who successfully lobbied Congress to pass the Magnitsky Act, a law to punish Russian human rights violators. Putin has put out international warrants on him for years, which Interpol keeps rejecting. Despite giving up his American citizenship, Trump was still considering handing him over. Browder said the idea, “is probably one of the most insane things I’ve ever heard coming out of [Trump’s] mouth.” That’s a huge statement because a lot of crazy has come out of that mouth.

Browder summed up the situation best by saying, “What President Trump was saying is that he wants to take a bunch of loyal patriots, people who have given up money for government service to serve their nation, who have been protecting this nation against Russian interference, Russia organized crime, and he wants to hand them over to the Russian criminals. To hand me over to Putin is basically to hand me over to my death.”

Seeing as this one of the public disasters from Helsinki, one has to ask; Just what the hell did they agree to in their two-hour private meeting?

Trump will get another chance to suck up to Putin because; wait for it…he’s invited him to the White House. Obama didn’t grant Putin even one summit, and in less than two years Trump is going to give him two.

One current diplomat with the State Department said, “The president has first and foremost his interests at the top of his mind, as opposed to the government’s. That’s very clear over the past week and a half, between shitting on our NATO allies and kissing Putin’s ass. He cares more about himself than the nation and any of us who serve it.”

I saved the best for last. The diplomat (remember, he’s still working for Trump) also said, “Either he’s compromised by Putin or he’s a pussy, in which case he should grab himself.”

Putin’s Puppet

cjones12122016

The people who spent eight years screaming the loudest about being patriots and shouting “I want my country back” are the first to turn a blind eye and allow a foreign nation to commit terrorism on us and manipulate our democratic system. That’s the equivalent of treason.

The CIA has assessed that Russia wasn’t just trying to destroy confidence in our electoral system, they were trying to help elect Donald Trump. They’re very confident about this.

The White House wanted a unified bipartisan front to combat this and they went to Congressional leaders. The Republicans who spent eight years saying no to Obama this time said “eh.” Mitch McConnell, the GOP’s leader in the Senate chose to hide in his turtle shell and ignore the threat and today his wife is nominated to work in the Trump administration. That’s a sweet payoff.

Trump’s transition team dismissed the news with the statement “These are the same people that said Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. The election ended a long time ago in one of the biggest Electoral College victories in history. It’s now time to move on and ‘Make America Great Again.” Basically “blah blah blah.”

This isn’t Iraq or a search of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. This can’t be shrugged off because of a past mistake. If that’s how we’re going to treat any analysis by the CIA then what’s the point of having a CIA? The other B.S. in the statement is that Trump did not win in one of the biggest Electoral College victories in history and has lost the popular vote to Hillary Clinton by more than two million. The last thing about this is their willingness to dismiss and ignore a threat to our nation by a foreign power.

Trump is about to swear an oath to protect this nation from all threats foreign and domestic. As president-elect he’s showing us he doesn’t intend to take that oath seriously, if he even understands it.

Trump still refuses to believe Russia was behind the hacking into the Democrat’s campaign. He says it could have been China or some guy in New Jersey. I’m not sure how capable Chris Christie is with computers. He and his supporters refuse to believe Russians were helping him win the election but they’ll buy a story that Hillary Clinton is selling child sex slaves out of a pizza parlor.

Even if it’s not Russia behind the attacks Trump and his flying monkeys are ignoring one basic fact. Nobody was hacking into Trump’s campaign and releasing the data. Someone was breaking the law, breaking the rules, not playing fair, to help Donald Trump win the White House. They’re fine with that.

Donald Trump, Republicans, and their voters didn’t just allow our democracy to be manipulated by a foreign power with evil intentions. They allowed themselves to be compromised. They’d sell their nation out for a cheap win.  That’s exactly what they did.

That’s not patriotism. It’s called treason. It’s the real scandal that’s “worse than Watergate.”
