Virginia has a long history of denying public assistance. Now when it’s basically free money for the state, the state GOP still says no. Of course a lot of it has to do to their resistance to Obamacare. Their biggest fear about expanding Medicare is that it will actually work and help a lot of people and Democrats will get the credit.
