Venture capitalist Tom Perkins compared today’s treatment of wealthy Americans to the persecution of Jews in Nazi Germany. Seriously. He has since apologized but stands by his message. That’s like saying I’m sorry you’re a slut but I still think you’re a slut.
I wouldn’t mind trading places. I think I could tolerate being a mega millionaire while a lot of people despised me for it. I’d learn how to live with the guilt.
What I mostly wonder is how people who can say such stupid things are smart enough to get so bloody rich.
