Worm Breath

Here’s the blog post reprinted from Fredericksburg.com.

I read several articles last week and there was a not-so-surprising one about Cuccinelli’s appeal with women voters.  I’d point out number but it’s closer to say there is none.  Why would there be any appeal from women voters?  The guy has tried to ban the pill, regulate abortions, tried to enforce discrimination and even tried to hide the boob on the state seal (which makes you wonder why there’s any appeal from men).

It’s obvious Cuccinelli is going to lose this Tuesday but let’s observe why:  The guy has spent his entire career as a regressive.  He’s opposed woman rights, gay rights, fought the national health care law, fought against immigration, used his office as Attorney General to fight personal issues on global warming, tried to ban birth control pills, tried to regulate abortions,  wasted millions of taxpayer dollars on his personal vendettas and he tried to outlaw sodomy.  Did I forget anything?

You can be a right winger and agree with Cuccinelli on all of these issues but you have to realize it doesn’t fly in a purple state.  Virginia is still a conservative state but it’s moving blue and it will never go back.  You can’t run for a statewide office as such a staunch conservative, gaining national attention, and expect to win in Virginia.  My point is proven by the fact Cuccinelli is losing to a Democratic candidate as horrible and sleazy as Terry McAuliffe.  Democrats and Independents are not in love with this guy.

One thing I do love is that conservatives keep saying this is a referendum on Obamacare.  Why?  It doesn’t have anything to do with Obamacare.  Nevertheless, what will conservatives say Wednesday morning about this referendum after Cuccinelli loses and his political career is over?
