Trump MOB

Trump Swingers

Cjones10122021

Mike Pence is a worm and he’s always been a worm. But for one shining moment, for him at least, it seemed he had re-grown his backbone, or grown a first one, and stood up for the nation, democracy, and the United States Constitution. The man who probably snored praises for Donald Trump, who had replaced Christ with Donald Trump, who couldn’t state three sentences without inserting the term “thanks to Donald Trump’s leadership,” and who is probably still trying to brush the taste of Trump’s ass out of his mouth, stood up and finally put something before worship to all that is Donald Trump.

Mike Pence had shed whatever dignity he had before 2016 to be Trump’s lap poodle, lickspittle, toady, flunky, minion, apple polisher, yes man, brown noser, fawner, doormat, sycophant, first-in-line ass kisser.

The vice president presides over Congress’ certification of presidential elections. Donald Trump wanted Pence to use this position to overturn the election by not allowing the certification. Donald Trump told the angry mob at a hate rally before the attack on the Capitol,I hope Mike is going to do the right thing. I hope so. I hope so.”

“Because if Mike Pence does the right thing, we win the election. All he has to do, all this is, this is from the number one, or certainly one of the top, Constitutional lawyers in our country. He has the absolute right to do it. We’re supposed to protect our country, support our country, support our Constitution, and protect our constitution.”

“All Vice President Pence has to do is send it back to the states to recertify and we become president and you are the happiest people.”

And I actually, I just spoke to Mike. I said: “Mike, that doesn’t take courage. What takes courage is to do nothing. That takes courage.” And then we’re stuck with a president who lost the election by a lot and we have to live with that for four more years. We’re just not going to let that happen.”

After Mike Pence refused to refuse the certification, the Trump mob attacked the Capitol. Pence and his family were evacuated, and then Trump tweeted to his mob, “Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution.”

Trump knew the mob was inside the Capitol. Instead of calling them off, he was giving them targets. Donald Trump sent an angry mob with nooses to go after the man who had spent the past four years groveling at his feet, supporting his lies, and aiding in the destruction of the country.

Donald Trump literally tried to have his vice president murdered. Why is Donald Trump not in prison?

Mike Pence spent four years performing as someone who would sacrifice himself for Donald Trump, but when that moment came, he ran for his life. Donald Trump did nothing to call of the mob with nooses from killing Mike Pence.

Donald Trump is a racist lying treasonous piece of shit and Mike Pence, well, he’s still a worm.

While talking to Sean Hannity on Fox News last week, Mike Pence said, “I know the media wants to distract from the Biden administration’s failed agenda by focusing on one day in January. They want to use that one day to try and demean the character and intentions of 74 million Americans who believed we could be strong again and prosperous again and supported our administration in 2016 and 2020.”

Pence, you demean yourself. Donald Trump lost the election fairly. While 74 million Americans voted for him, 81 million voted for President Joe Biden. You lost and you know it, or at least you did that “one day in January.”

Mike Pence, the worm, has joined the rest of the ridiculous Republican cowards who’ve spent the past ten months downplaying this attack. For Pence, it was just “one day in January.” It was one day in January white supremacist terrorists, encouraged by Donald Trump, tried to destroy democracy.

You guys are still losing your shit over protesters for attacking a Target in Minnesota over the murder of George Floyd, but the attack by white nationalists on the citadel of democracy was just “one day in January.” Really?

And now we’ve learned that doing the right thing was only the last resort for Mike Pence. He was seeking a way to do just as Donald Trump asked, which was to toss out a free and fair democratic election, destroy democracy, disobey a duty mandated by the United States Constitution, and install Donald Trump as a fascist dictator. And who talked Mike Pence out of doing that? A guy who can’t even spell “potato.”

After criticizing Donald Trump for the riot and attack on democracy, Nikki Haley and Kevin McCarthy both went groveling back to Trump. Mike Pence is now doing the same. It might be working because Trump praised Pence while also throwing an ass-kissing bone to Hannity.

Trump said, “Vice President Mike Pence’s statement during his interview with the great Sean Hannity very much destroys and discredits the Unselect Committees Witch Hunt on the events of January 6th.”

Did I mention the Trump mob, while inside the Capitol, was chanting, “Hang Mike Pence”? Donald Trump didn’t mention that.

It happened one day in January.

Story time: I don’t expect many of my clients to publish this cartoon because of the imagery.

Back in the day when newspapers still had some money and would annually grant raises, they also did performance reviews. During one review, I got a raise and was commended for my work while my editor received a criticism from his boss for something I did. They scolded my boss for allowing a lynching cartoon of mine to be published on the opinion page. And this scolding came several months later. It came off like I was a monkey and not responsible for my actions. You know you can’t leave him alone in the kitchen. He’ll put forks in the microwave.

Little did either of us know there was a company policy not written down anywhere that there was to be no references to lynching in the newspaper. Even though the issue was lynching, as our newspaper had reported our then-senator, George Allen, had a noose in his office as a souvenir, probably because he’s racist. So, I drew a cartoon on something reported in our paper, and my boss got in trouble for letting me do it.

I was OK with that. I got my three percent raise. But, I never got to draw another noose for The Free Lance-Star again. Cowards.

Taps For Terrorists

cjones01142021

Ashli Babbitt was a veteran of the United States Air Force. She spent six years in an Air National Guard unit whose mandate, ironically, is to defend the Washington region and respond to civil unrest. Its nickname: the Capital Guardians. Her family describes her as a patriot. Ashli Babbitt died Wednesday attacking the United States Capitol building.

Kevin Greeson’s family said, “He was not there to participate in violence or rioting, nor did he condone such actions.” Yet, Greeson was inside the Capitol building participating in the riot. Officially, he died from a heart attack from all the excitement. Others say the heart attack was provoked when he tasered himself by accident…in the genitals.

Benjamin Philips was a Trump supporter from Pennsylvania. He didn’t make it back to PA because he suffered a stroke during the riot.

Rosanne Boyland told her family back in her home of Georgia, “I’m going to stand on the sidelines. I’m just going to show my support.” She died inside the Capitol Rotunda. Capitol Police say she collapsed and couldn’t be saved. Others on the scene say she was trampled by the MAGA mob.

All four of these people are being called patriots. But each of those who participated in the riot and attack on our nation’s capital are not patriots. They are terrorists.

These terrorists are being turned into martyrs by the Trump cult, a cult that claims it’s patriotic and get upset over someone kneeling during the national anthem, but turns around and supports a terrorist attack on our nation.

These terrorists went to Washington to change the leadership of our government through violence. That’s insurrection, sedition, and terrorism. While claiming they were fighting for liberty, freedom, and democracy, they were fighting to disenfranchise millions of voters.

The Trump Cult opposes peaceful protests by Black Lives Matter and any time there is violence or looting from the protests, they’re quick to call it a riot. They’re still calling what happened Wednesday a “protest.” It was a “protest” where participants brought guns, Molotov cocktails, and pipe bombs.

What happened Wednesday by Trump supporters is the very definition of terrorism.

But how is it terrorism when they’re passionate about their beliefs? Those 19 hijackers on 9/11 were also passionate about their beliefs. One difference between the terrorists on 9/11 and the terrorists on 1/6, the 9/11 guys weren’t traitors. The Trump Terrorists’ “passion” is based on lies and conspiracy theories. They follow a cult leader. Osama bin Laden and Donald Trump have both ordered attacks on our nation’s capital.

We are no longer post-9/11. Now, we are post-1/6. Which is worse? An attack on our nation by a terrorist based in Afghanistan or an attack on our nation by a terrorist living in the White House?

All these tMAGA terrorists were incited by Donald Trump. White House sources say he was thrilled during the attack. After the attack, before he condemned it, he told the MAGA mob they were “special” and “we love” them. Ivanka Trump sent, then deleted, a tweet calling the terrorists “patriots.”

Donald Trump told the mob to go to Capitol Hill and “fight like hell.” Rudy Giuliani urged “trial by combat.” You can argue those were just provocative political speeches, but the terrorists went directly from the hate rally to Capitol Hill, which they proceeded to attack. During the attack, instead of calling and ordering the military to defend Capitol Hill, Trump was calling congressmen and senators to continue objecting to the electoral college. Donald Trump’s priority was to save himself, not the nation.

Ashli Babbitt took an oath to defend and protect this nation. So did Donald Trump. So did all the members of Congress who tried to overturn a democratically-held election, then continued their attempt to overthrow an election after the riot. These traitors, terrorists, and supporters of terror all betrayed their country. Coups are not patriotic. Destroying a republic is not very Republican.

This cartoon and column will be controversial, but it shouldn’t be. We should not be afraid to call these people terrorists. They did not die for their country. They died attacking their country and trying to install a fascist dictator through violence. We should not be afraid to call them what they are. They are terrorists. If you support them, you support terrorists who attack America. You also lost all credibility to oppose any protest…ever.

The one patriot who died (so far) from the attack is Brian Sicknick, a Capitol Police officer who died during the attack defending our nation’s capitol building and those who serve in it. Today, the flags over Capitol Hill are flying at half-mast. The flag over the White House not been lowered. Why?

The flags have not been lowered over the White House to pay respects to Office Sicknick because Donald Trump and his supporters don’t love America or those who serve it. Donald Trump and MAGA love terrorists. He said so himself.

Not Antifa

cjones01102021

On September 11, 2001, passengers on Flight 93 sacrificed their lives to prevent the plane overtaken by terrorists from flying into our nation’s capitol building. On January, 6, 2021, the President (sic) of the United States of America sent terrorists to that same capitol building to stage an insurrection, attempt a coup, and commit sedition.

Immediately after photos were posted online of the MAGA mob breaking into the capitol, vandalizing offices, breaking windows, threatening lives, and leaving pipe bombs, the Trump cult claimed the terrorists were Antifa. Of course, this was wrong and immediately debunked.

The crowd went straight from a Trump rally to the capitol building. Donald Trump did NOT speak at an Antifa rally.

Whataboutism doesn’t justify and excuse your horrible actions. Even if Antifa burned down the capitol building last year, it wouldn’t justify what the Trump mob did yesterday.

And the sycophants online, they couldn’t keep their bullshit straight. One minute, they were calling the goons Antifa, the next minute, they were calling them patriots. I saw one conservative colleague call them Antifa then turn around and demand the same mourning that George Floyd received be given to Ashli Babbitt, the MAGAt shot and killed yesterday by Capitol Police while she was breaking through a door committing a terrorist act. My question to him is: Why should we mourn her if she was Antifa? Hmm?

Another conservative cartoonist, drew a cartoon blaming Proud Boys, the KKK, and…wait for it…Antifa. Never mind that Antifa isn’t really an organization or the fact they were not present yesterday during the storming of the capitol. But, Antifa was present during the 1940s when they stomped out fascism in Europe and Asia.

Ben Garrison, a propagandist and member of the Trump cult complained today that “Twitter ‘sucked’ off 500 of his followers.” That doesn’t have anything to do with this or Antifa but I just wanted to point out the new service Twitter is offering.

Antifa didn’t kill anyone last year. Yesterday, The MAGA mob sent directly by Donald Trump was responsible for four deaths. Yesterday, the Trump mob committed sedition because democracy didn’t give them what they want, a fascist dictator. Yesterday, the Trump mob tried to install a leader with a bloody coup. They brought pipe bombs and Molotov cocktails.

The people who attacked the capitol yesterday were not Antifa, protesters, or patriots. They were a mob, goons, traitors, and terrorists. They attacked our country. They attacked America. I get that MAGAts are tribal and feel they have to support members of their tribe when they commit bad acts, even terrorism, but supporting and celebrating these terrorists is un-American.

Ashli Babbit was an Air Force veteran who had served four tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. Yesterday, she violated her military oath of defending our nation from all threats, foreign and domestic, by becoming a domestic threat. Ashli betrayed her oath, became a MAGAt terrorist, and attacked the United States of America, the nation she took an oath to defend and protect. She retweeted conspiracy theories from Trump and attorney Lin Wood. Her death leaves blood on their hands. She didn’t die defending democracy…she died assaulting it.

Here’s a useful tip to remember: Patriots don’t attack their country or defend and support terrorists who do.

By the way, this cartoon was drawn by Antifa.
