Hater Purge

cjones05072019

Last Friday, Donald Trump tweeted, “I am continuing to monitor the censorship of AMERICAN CITIZENS on social media platforms. This is the United States of America — and we have what’s known as FREEDOM OF SPEECH! We are monitoring and watching, closely!!” He also accused Facebook of mistreating Diamond & Silk, a couple of Trump sycophants who have a fan page on the platform. Trump tweeted that they’ve been “treated so horribly by Facebook” and “we’re looking into it.”

Trump doesn’t have time to bring up election meddling in an hour-long phone call with Russian president Vladimir Putin, where somehow he was able to see that Putin was smiling, but he has plenty of time to monitor the “censorship of American citizens” on social media platforms and time to “look into it.”

Donald Trump does NOT care about censorship. In fact, he’s all for it as he’s threatened the First Amendment and press freedoms multiple times. He’s stated the press should be sued for “fake news,” which is news he doesn’t like, and that the press shouldn’t be allowed to publish whatever they want.

What Trump doesn’t like is when social media limits or kicks conspiracy theorists and hate mongers, who are supporters of his, to the curb. He proved that the other night in his outrage and tweetstorm over Facebook and Instagram kicking off haters, racists, Nazi lovers, and conspiracy theorists like Alex Jones, Paul Joseph Watson, Milo Yiannopoulos, Paul Nehlen, and Laura Loomer. Louis Farrakhan was also expunged from the platforms but Trump didn’t mention him. Gee, I wonder why.

I have had cartoons removed by Instagram and one video removed by YouTube. When that happens, I get annoyed because whoever made that decision can’t tell the difference between hate-mongering and content attacking hate-mongering. Sheesh. Usually, when this happens, I don’t get too angry or upset as it’s pretty much out of my hands. I’ll make the removal public information and move on with my life. But even when I feel the removal is unjustified I don’t call it censorship…because it’s not.

“Censorship” is a very popular charge when something you like is removed. But 99% of the time, it’s not censorship. The same people who scream that a baker should be allowed to refuse customers ordering gay wedding cakes also scream that privately-owned platform should provide every fucknut in the world an outlet for their hate and fear mongering.

If I kick you out of my house because you dropped an N-bomb, I didn’t deprive you of your freedom of speech. The same goes for the comments on this website. You can still drop N-bombs in this country, but I don’t have an obligation to provide you an outlet for it. Neither does Facebook, YouTube, or Twitter. Yes, they are public platforms but they’re not government owned.

Trump and conservatives only care about their freedom of speech, not yours. This is also another opportunity for the crowd that loves to accuse liberals of being “snowflakes” to act like snowflakes. White Republicans love to play the victims while they’re beating down on other people. Republicans are the whiniest, thin-skinned babies on the planet. If they don’t have something to have actual outrage over, they’ll invent one.

Many of the people removed by social media were spreading false information and hate. Right-wing actor and crazy pants James Woods has been removed from Twitter for posting content they believe incites violence. Donald Trump has retweeted hate videos and false information from AltRight hate groups. One of his supporters mailed bombs to Democrats, critics, and journalists who Trump has attacked on Twitter. A Pittsburgh synagogue was shot up, killing eleven, by a man who had posted the same wolf whistles, keywords, and conspiracy theories shared by Trump.

Donald Trump shares fake information. He’s a fear mongerer and he incites violence. Even after violence occurs, he doesn’t stop. Donald Trump is the hater president who actively seeks to divide this nation. He has not been banned by Twitter.

There is not a law that says a sitting president can’t be indicted. It’s just a Justice Department policy. Just as stupid is Twitter’s apparent policy that a sitting president can’t be banned from their platform, no matter how much he advocates for his followers to commit violence.

Twitter has removed thousands of bots from Trump’s followers which has enraged him. He needs all the followers he can get, even the fake ones if he’s ever going to catch up to Obama’s number of followers. What Twitter needs to do while removing the bots is to go after the Russian trolls, like Donald Trump.

Twitter, put your money where your mouth is and ban Donald Trump. His tweetstorm over that would be epic…oh wait.

Be Complicit

What kind of person would want to be part of something that disparages, slanders, and disrespects Dear Leader and his sycophantic followers? Hopefully, you.
Making a contribution supports my work and keeps the cartoons, columns, and videos coming. My income is from newspapers that subscribe to my work and small contributors. George Soros hasn’t sent me a million dollar check in weeks. Making a contribution of any amount, or buying a print for $40.00, makes you part of this specific resistance, and a member of Team Claytoonz (we’re still working on the name). You are complicit, an accomplice, and in cahoots (and whatever gangster terms we can think of) with this political satire pointing out that the stupid emperor has no clothes. Contributions can be made through PayPal, checks, and wads of cash exchanged in back alleys.
Whether you can help support, can’t, or just choose not to, please continue to enjoy and keep reading my work. Thank you!!!

No Riding With Milo

cjones02212017

Filthy, retched, disgusting, deplorable, and horrible conservatives love to quote Milo Yiannopoulos. After today, not so much.

Milo is an author, kinda-sorta journalists for scary right wing publications, rabble-rouser, public bully, and outspoken proponent for hate, bigotry, racism, and fascism. Apparently none of that was too much for Breitbart, Simon & Schuster, or the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).

In the past Milo received a lifetime ban from Twitter for racist bullying of actress and comedian Leslie Jones for her role in Ghostbusters. Over the weekend videos, that were available for years, surfaced of Milo condoning pedophilia, joking about a teenage sexual encounter with a Catholic priest, and argues about age-of-consent laws. Charming fellow.

Over the past few weeks he has ignited protests at universities where he was scheduled to speak by people who really didn’t want him there. It’s not that they’re against free speech. They’re against providing the platform for a guy who once said “feminism is cancer” and referred to Leslie Jones as a “black dude.” Even though he is gay he’s said that being gay is “detrimental to humanity,” “gay men should get back in the closet,” “aberrant” and a “lifestyle choice guaranteed to bring gay people pain and unhappiness.”  Really charming fellow.

Milo was scheduled as the keynote speaker for the upcoming CPAC event which will also include Donald Trump, whom Milo refers to as “Daddy.” Though CPAC is totally fine with racists and fascists speakers, the pedophilia thing has crossed the line for them. Maybe because it’s a really touchy subject since so many Republicans have been caught with young boys.

Simon & Schuster was set to release his autobiography (yeah, people really wanted to read that thing), for which Milo received a $250,000 advance. That book, appropriately titled “Dangerous,” (ironically enough, also the title for a Michael Jackson album) has been cancelled. It’s more tainted than the movie The Interview.

It’s gotten so bad that even Breitbart….BREITBART…is considering axing him where he serves as one of their editors. How horrible do you have to be that Breitbart, the alt-right fake news website formerly run by Steve Bannon and magnet for racist comments, doesn’t want anything to do with you?

Over the weekend Milo appeared on the Bill Maher show where Larry Wilmore told the guy to “go f*ck himself.” And that was before the pedophilia stuff came out.

I really hope this cartoon doesn’t offend the wrong people. I really don’t have an issue with Chevrolet.

Creative note: I’m in my new house and today I brought my desk over from out of storage. It was a really big priority for me. I can’t draw on my lap or while sitting up in bed. So naturally I forgot to bring the chair for the desk. So this cartoon was drawn in a coffee shop. I tweeted out an invitation to come watch me draw but I didn’t disclose which coffee place. I’m mean like that.

There was a girl there looking for a guy named Scott she was meeting for the first time from a dating site. So if you see me out in the near future with a very attractive brunette my name is “Scott.”

Smell That Freedom

cjones02042017

Many people say you lose a political argument when you make a comparison to Hitler or Nazis. The exception to this is when you’re talking about actual Nazis. You are allowed to compare fascists with fascists.

And I know it’s not entirely fair to compare people like Donald Trump to Adolph Hitler. For comparison’s sake, Hitler actually wrote his own book without a ghostwriter.

When it comes to Trump and his Trumpanzees I don’t want to go overboard with the comparisons to Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Nixon, Palpatine, Klansmen, Dr. Evil, Sergeant Schultz,  Oompa Loompas, etc.

The First Amendment guarantees our freedom of speech. Hell, I make my living from it. I believe that even horrible and atrocious viewpoints have the same rights I do. You have to allow the Westboro crazies to assemble and wave signs reading “God hates fags,” but you don’t have to let them in your house.

So while universities like Berkeley are bastions for opposing viewpoints their students and the public have the freedom to say they don’t want to provide the platform for a speaker with racist ideas.

Milo Yiannopoulos is an editor for Breitbart and he is a racist and a bully. He’s started a scholarship program open only to white male students (because white guys never get breaks). He received a lifetime ban from Twitter for bullying actress Leslie Jones for her role in the Ghostbusters remake. There were a lot of reasons not to like that movie other than a black chick being in it. Seeing that this guy is a racist troglodyte and expresses horrible views, why would you want him in your house? Have you ever tried to Scotchgard an entire university?

When Milo speaks at a campus he brings white supremacists. The white supremacists bring recruiters. They encourage and promote horrible ideas to be inflicted upon minorities. I can understand why people may not want that element hanging around funking up the place.

Students protested. Then a bunch of bad people showed up in masks and started to trash businesses and started fires. If there’s any further proof that these vandals weren’t part of the liberal protesters, they trashed a Starbucks. Liberals would never trash a coffee house. Especially one that financially supports liberal causes and that conservatives are currently boycotting. So while it’s safe to drink a mocha in an environment without someone dropping an N-bomb, a flaming garbage can may come flying through the window.

UC Berkeley eventually cancelled Milo’s speech out of safety concerns, but he still led a rally on the campus for his racist supporters.

Donald Trump was upset at the activists and expressed the opinion that maybe federal funding should be pulled from universities that discourage free speech. Two things about that: The university invited the Nazi, so you can’t say they discourage free speech. The second thing is, Trump is against free speech. His administration is gagging federal employees.

Conservatives love to tout how liberals prevent them from expressing their ideas. Really? You want to tag yourself with the racist ideas of Yiannopoulos and claim that’s standard conservatism? You want to claim him as one of you? OK then. He’s one of you guys. You can have him.

By the way, while you’re complaining about violence at liberal protests you’re conveniently forgetting there have been 172 documented hate crimes on college campuses since Donald Trump’s election.
