Andrew McCabe

A Poor Man’s Nixon

“A poor man’s something” is an expression used to describe an item or a person as being similar to something else of a higher quality. For example; you can say an Epiphone guitar is a poor man’s Gibson. If you own an Epiphone, don’t feel bad. I own one too and it’s awesome but it’s not a Gibson. You get my point.

Yesterday, Donald Trump described former Deputy Director of the FBI, and briefly acting director, as a liar, “disgrace to his country,” and a “poor man’s J. Edgar Hoover.”

Donald Trump projects himself onto others. Naturally, he’s a liar, a disgrace to his country, and now I think he’s a cross dresser.

McCabe was fired from the FBI, mere hours before he was to qualify for his pension. Trump spent months smearing the guy at rallies, press conferences, and on Twitter before the bureau finally felt enough pressure to remove McCabe from his job and rob him of benefits earned through years of service. After the firing, Trump took a victory lap on Twitter.

Trump has worked hard to ruin lives, reputations, and careers, not just to save his own skin, but to feed his base.

McCabe is promoting his new book, “The Threat: How the FBI protects America in the age of terror and Trump.” Trump is complaining about the guy writing a book…after he stole his pension.

While Trump is claiming the book is full of lies, he’s contradicting himself by using one of the book’s claims as an example of the “Deep State” plotting a coup.

After Trump fired FBI Director James Comey, then bragged to Russians in the Oval Office that he ended the problem of being investigated over Russia, then gave those same Russians classified information, in addition to a long train of him being submissive to and defensive of Vladimir Putin, the guys at the FBI started to detect a pattern. It doesn’t take a career professional in intelligence to see that Trump is beholden to Russia and is eyeball deep in corruption. But Andrew McCabe and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein discussed options for invoking the Constitution’s 25th Amendment to oust Trump. During these conversations, according to McCabe, Rosenstein talked about wearing a wire while talking to Trump.

McCabe maintains that Rosenstein discussed it on more than one occasion. The Justice Department’s denial of this is that Rosenstein never wore a wire while in the presence of Trump. That’s not a denial it wasn’t discussed.

Two things here; these guys can’t invoke the 25th Amendment. That is a process for the president’s cabinet. The guys at Justice can cajole, prod, and attempt to influence, but they can’t enact it. The second thing is, I don’t think catching Trump admitting corrupt things on a wire would do anything. They guy yelled at campaign rallies for Putin to help him and proudly told NBC’s Lester Hold that he obstructed justice in firing James Comey.

Trump is all over this. He tweeted, “Wow, so many lies by now disgraced acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe. He was fired for lying, and now his story gets even more deranged. He and Rod Rosenstein, who was hired by Jeff Sessions (another beauty), look like they were planning a very illegal act, and got caught.”

McCabe was for making an “unauthorized disclosure” to the media, that didn’t actually violate FBI rules. He was also fired for “lack of candor.” It’s funny that these career professionals, like McCabe, Comey, and Peter Stzrok all had stellar reputations and respect until Trump discovered their “corruption.” And, how did they “get caught” if McCabe revealed it? Someone should explain to Trump “caught” is when you’re caught, like the time Michael Cohen released a tape of Trump talking about paying hush money to pornstars and Playmates, after he denied ever knowing about it. That’s an example of being “caught.”

Trump also attacked Jeff Sessions for hiring Rosenstein, even though Trump hired Sessions and…wait for it…Rod Rosenstein. As it turns out, McCabe had authorized a criminal investigation into Jeff Sessions over “whether Sessions lacked candor when testifying before Congress about contacts with Russian operatives.”

Donald Trump has done everything he can to subvert the Constitution and obstruct justice. He’s fired people investigating him. He’s pressured others to make the firings. He’s placed sycophants in high positions who swear to protect him, like interim Attorney General Matthew Whitaker who said his job was to “jump on a grenade” to protect Trump. While Whitaker was in charge at Justice, Trump reportedly called to ask him to put an ally in charge of the hush money investigation in New York.

The FBI started to investigate Trump after the Comey firing, which they handed off to the Special Counsel. The bureau was also working to preserve evidence on Trump and Russia, because people in charge of investigations kept getting fired and sycophants were replacing them.

The investigation was to determine if Trump had obstructed justice and whether he might be, wittingly or not, in league with the Russians. The goal of the backup plan was to ensure that the information collected under the investigations, which included probes of Trump associates and possible coordination between Russia and the Trump campaign, would survive the firings or reassignments of top law enforcement officials.

After Mueller finishes his report and hands it off the newly appointed Attorney General, we’ll find out how well those backup plans work.

I don’t think McCabe is a poor man’s J. Edgar Hoover, but Trump is the poor man’s Richard Nixon.

Billionaire Steals Pension From Career Public Servant

Donald Trump once asked Andrew McCabe who he voted for. I really hope he didn’t vote for Trump.

After Trump fired FBI Director James Comey, he called then interim director McCabe and yelled at him for allowing Comey to return home from California, where he was at the time of the firing, and allowing him to fly on a government plane. At the end of that conversation, Trump told McCabe, “ask your wife what it’s like to be a loser,” in reference to her losing campaign when she ran for public office.

Donald Trump once cut off health insurance for a sick infant, which was the grandson of his late brother.

Currently, Trump, the president of the United States of America, is trying to collect $20 million from a porn star because she won’t be quiet about sleeping with him.

Friday night, around 10:00 PM, Donald Trump, through his troll Attorney General Jeff Sessions, fired Andrew McCabe hours before his retirement in an effort to prevent him from collecting his pension after 21 years of government service.

In case you can’t tell by this point, Donald Trump is a petty asshole.

Trump has been bullying McCabe for months on Twitter and through the press threatening to fire him.

Trump has been upset that McCabe is a witness for James Comey. Trump’s move to fire McCabe tells the entire Federal Bureau of Investigation that if doing their job crosses Trump, he’ll come after them.

During the presidential debates, Hillary Clinton warned us that Trump would use the presidency and Justice Department to go after his political enemies. Once again, he’s proving her right. Just as she was right about Trump being Putin’s Puppet, she was correct about him acting like a tin-pot dictator of a banana republic.

Trump is also trying to move his case with Stormy Daniels out a state court to a federal court, where he appoints the judges. By the way, this legal move proves Trump was a part of the non-disclosure agreement.

If you’re not angry and afraid at this point, you’re an idiot.

Trump’s supporters say they didn’t want Obama’s socialism. But they’re perfectly fine with authoritarianism. I’m not and Donald Trump needs to go.

Trump’s supporters and sycophants love his court appointments and tax cuts, but will they love what’s left of this nation after he leaves? That is if he leaves. He’s already “joking” about being president for life, or in this case, ruler for life.

McCabe has been on an FBI SWAT team. He investigated the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. He’s worked in the FBI’s Counterterrorism Division and National Security Branch. He deserves better than to be attacked politically by the most self-serving president in our nation’s history. If Donald Trump is petty enough to attack career servants for perceived slights against him, he’ll sacrifice our national security for his personal interest.

Also, on Friday night, retired four-star Army general Barry McCaffrey tweeted, “Reluctantly I have concluded that President Trump is a serious threat to US national security. He is refusing to protect vital US interests from active Russian attacks. It is apparent that he is for some unknown reason under the sway of Mr Putin.”

What the general failed to mention is that Trump is a petty asshole.

During the Obama presidency, Republican wingnuts perpetuated conspiracy theories that he was out to destroy America and would never leave office when his terms were up. Without any actual evidence to base these beliefs, they shat out one flimsy reason after another.

He was born in Kenya. His birth certificate is a forgery. Nobody knew him in college. He’s a Muslim. He’s a communist. He supports terrorists. He’s coming to take our guns and give them to Mexican drug cartels. His preacher is a black anarchist. He hates white people. His wife has biceps. He enunciates words. He apologizes for America. He plays too much golf. He criticizes cops when they shoot unarmed black men, teenagers, and children. He wants us to have health insurance and eat healthily. His real dad was Frank M. Davis. He invaded Texas and annexed it as a part of the United States. Bill Ayers is his ghostwriter. He caused the BP oil spill. He killed Andrew Breitbart. He killed Scalia. He put mustard on a cheeseburger. He wears mom jeans. He’s the Antichrist. He’s a lizard overlord. He eats kale.

Each of those was code for “he’s black.”

Monday, the Trump administration and the Republican sycophants in Congress who put the Rule of Trump before the Rule of Law, took further steps to dismantle the American Republic.

Andrew McCabe stepped down as Deputy Director of the FBI on Monday after months of being bullied by Trump and increasing pressure from Christopher Wray, the FBI Director appointed by Trump. According to sources, Wray was talking about demoting McCabe until his retirement in March.

According to other sources, after Trump fired James Comey as director, he called McCabe, who was acting-director, to chew him out for allowing Comey to fly back to Washington on a government jet, as he was in Los Angeles at the time he was fired. Apparently, if your job takes you out of town, fires you while you’re out of town, you should have to walk home. He also told McCabe to ask his wife, who had lost a campaign for Virginia state senate, how it felt to be a loser. Someone should ask Trump’s wife how it feels to be married to a guy who pays off porn stars.

He also asked McCabe during an introductory meeting in the Oval Office who he had voted for in the presidential election.

It was McCabe’s wife’s campaign as a Democrat that Trump and Republicans used to attack him. She received nearly $500,000 from a super PAC linked to Hillary Clinton and Virginia governor Terry McAuliffe. According to Republicans, if you have any political opinions then you are unqualified to do any job in government service, except sit in Congress.

Trump asked Comey for loyalty. He asked Comey to drop his investigation into Michael Flynn after he knew Flynn had lied to the FBI. Trump fired Comey, forced out McCabe, questioned Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ loyalty and has talked about replacing him. Trump is purging the FBI and seeking to turn it into his own personal protection agency.

New York Times Columnist David Leonhardt laid out an Article of Impeachment against Donald Trump. Mr. Leonhardt lays out ten items where Trump has tried to subvert a federal investigation. I think he went kinda light.

The Republican toadies in Congress are doing all they can to protect Trump. They have turned their Congressional investigation of Russia’s meddling in our election into a forum to protect Trump. They don’t ask about the Trump campaign’s involvement. They don’t question the fact he hasn’t enacted the sanctions against Russia they passed. Instead, they write stupid memos based on conspiracy theories.

The Republicans voted Monday night (grrr, Mondays) to release a secret memo containing classified information, despite the Justice Department asking them not to release this it. The basis of the memo accuses the FBI and Justice Department of misusing their authority to obtain a secret surveillance order on a former Trump campaign associate.

The Republicans wrote the memo, so it’s not like they found this trove of information discrediting our intelligence agencies. They’ve made it all up themselves. Democrats say the memo uses cherry-picked facts assembled with little or no context. Monday, Representative Jim Jordan said the Clinton dossier was their paying Russians to meddle in our election. Listening to that sort of logic makes me believe the Democrats are right.

I’m going to steal and tweak a line from the TV show Scrubs. Republicans are bastard covered bastards with a bastard cream filling.

The memo is attacking Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein for signing off on extending the application to continue the surveillance of Carter Page, a Trump subordinate who federal agents believe was working as a Russian spy. Instead of going after the spy, Republicans are targeting the people in our government trying to protect our nation from Russian spies. Bastard cream filling, people.

Rosenstein oversees the Special Counsel’s investigation into Trump’s collusion with Russia, and now, obstruction of justice. Trump and Republicans are now going after Rosenstein. This is the Saturday night massacre in slow motion, except with more bastards.

Democrats wrote their own memo to counter the Republican’s, but Republicans, being bastards, voted against its release. Republicans argue that Americans need all the information while voting against giving Americans all the information. Releasing classified information will also tell our allies that we’re running a crazy house, and they shouldn’t share intel with us ever again, at least not while the inmates are running the asylum. Don’t share intelligence with bastards who don’t have any.

These sycophants releasing classified information for all the world to see are the same idiots who screamed about Hillary’s email server containing classified info.

Our nation is in danger and the greatest threat isn’t Russians or terrorists. It’s Republican bastards.

Quite frankly, I don’t think November can get here soon enough.

Defected Deflect

During the 2016 presidential campaign, Trump supporter Rudy Giuliani said he knew the FBI planned to review more emails tied to Hillary Clinton before FBI Director James Comey publicly announced that was what they were doing. Basically, he claimed the FBI LEAKED information to the Trump campaign, and he was proud of it.

Giuliani said agents of the bureau were frustrated and outraged with how the investigation into Clinton’s emails was handled. Two days before Comey’s announcement, Rudy teased that Trump’s campaign had a “couple of surprises left.”

Giuliani told Fox & Friends, “I did nothing to get it out, I had no role in it. Did I hear about it? You’re darn right I heard about it, and I can’t even repeat the language that I heard from the former FBI agents.”

Now, the very same FBI that employed those “outraged” agents and had leaked to the Trump campaign is being attacked by Trump, Republicans in Congress, and the sycophants on Fox News. If you listen to these people you’d get the idea the FBI is a bunch of Birkenstock-pussy hat-wearing, Hillary voting, reeking of Patchouli funk bohemians.

Comey’s announcement that the FBI was reopening the case against her, and without revealing that Trump was also under investigation, is largely credited with helping Trump win the election. After he became president, Trump fired Comey for investigating his former National Security Advisor and friend Michael Flynn, his campaign’s ties to Russia, and also for not declaring his loyalty to Trump. There are repercussions for not eating the meatloaf.

Trump has accused the FBI, Robert Mueller, and his entire investigation of being full of partisan Democrats out to get him. He’s attacked the FBI’s Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, who is now expected to retire in 2018. He’s accused the Deputy Attorney General, who appointed Mueller, of being a Democrat, even though he’s a Republican who Trump appointed.

Any day now I half expect Trump to accuse his Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, who was the first sitting U.S. Senator to endorse Trump, of being a Democrat who supported Hillary Clinton.

Trump’s defense is going on offense. His legal team and Republicans are very afraid of what Mueller will find and present in court…and ultimately to Congress. While they have claimed the investigation is a hoax, a hoax doesn’t produce indictments and guilty pleas, which Muller has done.

Congress is trying to end their investigation, and the Republican in charge of the House’s effort, Devin Nunes, has done everything in his power to manipulate and obstruct it. It’s funny they claim the FBI is biased against Trump while the head of their investigation is a Trump supporter who served on his transition team.

The thing is, people do have political opinions. But, I fully expect professionals to be able to do their job, abide by their oaths, do what’s legal and in the name of justice, no matter what their personal opinions may be of Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton. The reason Republicans and Trump sycophants claim that can’t be done is because they can’t do it. Have you ever watched a House hearing on Benghazi? You had plenty of opportunities as there were a lot of them.

There are legitimate concerns that the reason Trump is trying to convince the public that those investigating him are crooked is so he won’t receive a backlash if he fires those investigating him, or he pardons those brought up on charges. At some point, Trump is going to trigger a Constitutional crisis, and he’s working to get away with it. If it goes unchecked, the Republicans will let him. For them it’s not just party over country, it’s Trump over country.

The only reason to continue the attacks on the FBI, the Department of Justice, and Robert Mueller is because the Russia investigation is not a hoax and there will be more charges. The closer the charges get to Donald Trump, the more they’ll attack the good guys.

Right now, keep your eyes on the bad guys. They’re not in the FBI, the Special Counsel’s office, or in the media. They’re in the White House.
